The Season is Over!

Something a tad hopeful happened in the Treasure Valley yesterday. A private high school reopened for classes and a small liberal arts college said they would have the campus for fall classes and also announced some football and basketball signings. Perhaps there might be an end to the NBA season.
 
Just end it already or do a 16 team single elimination tournament with best 2 of 3 for the championship game.
 
If they end the season they should do a lottery draft for every team. Teams that were pushing for the playoffs that wont get a chance are punished with the season ending. Especially teams with a smaller window. Teams that were tanking lose very little this year.

Totally agree...that's the reason I think it will be likely to see something like having small playoffs to get into playoffs.
But then if you get this format you will probably damage someone else...
Moreover if they want the regular season finished let's think about team like Knicks,Cavalier,Warriors...they'll have to training to complete their schedules (more or less 15 matches) with no targets except losing as many matches as they can.

It’s okay to say this stuff but please realize it can’t happen... this stuff is all bargained and voted on... the lotto teams definitely wouldn’t vote for this and you’d need two thirds vote.


I do think it’s super ****** that the year we burn future assets to kinda go all in the season gets totally turned on it’s head and we don’t see how it gets to play out. Tanking teams and sellers totally win this year. The clips pushed in all the chips... if they had fans they’d prolly be pissed.

I suppose that is a way to read it but the longer this goes all the trial balloons the NBA sends up keep getting shot with a lot of bullets.
