The "The Jazz Should have picked THIS GUY instead official Thread"

Now that the picks have been made, if you think that you see a future star that the Jazz should have picked but missed out on, here is a thread for you to tell us who it is so you can come back in a year and say "I told you so."

Just curious.

I think they should have kept both the 14th and the 21st pick. With my logic, they'd have a better chance of getting a good rotational player with the both the 14th and 21st (possibly a home run too) than just trading both for a guy like Burke. I really hope I'm like Troutbum right now and super dumb at bball.

Should have moved up to take KCP instead. I want also to go on the record and say CJ McCollum will be a better player than Burke.

Understand your thinking, but don't forget they got back into the 1st and grabbed the player they probably would have taken anyway at #21.

Essentially, the Jazz traded Bazz (or Giannis) + Plumlee (or Dieng or Gobert) + Erick Green for Burke and Gobert. I like Gobert more than Plumlee or Dieng. So it comes down to the value of Burke vs. Bazz and Green. I think wings like Bazz are easier to find than starting PG's, so I give a huge thumbs up to this draft.

Well done, well done

I didn't care what pick the Jazz had, I wanted Burke..14 and 21 are pretty much total guess work. They got who they wanted without giving up anything I think.

Nothing.
I thought Gobert would've been gone before 21, so I had him at 21.
And Trey Burke > anyone we could've gotten at 14....

They got the #9 for the 14 and 21, so with the same picks they could have drafted McCollum. So, just to participate in the thread, CJ McCollum is the guy.

we got such great value on both picks. i can't help thinking "so this is what happens when you come to a draft overly prepared!"

Linds has been in this game for awhile. If you notice the international picks this year in Gobert and Neto, along with Burke.. I'm confident he sees a star in Trey.
