Well the signature move is just him making 1-3 straight-line dribbles going left. It doesn't take much of a left hand to do the move as much as it does just having really good acceleration.

Not commenting on his lack of/strength of left hand (haven't seen enough), but being able to do that move doesn't prove he has an advanced left hand.

Dante Exum's first step is just as good going left as it is going right, thats one of the first things I noticed about a year ago.

He finishes well with his left around the basket, how the hell does he 'have no left hand'

Ive seen all the Exum footage to be found, read all the local articles on him throughout the years. I vehemently disagree and can produce a ton of footage of him going left with spectacular results. He also finishes well with his left hand around the basket.

I'll start with this.. Isnt his "signature crossover" going left?

I suppose we'll just have to wait until the season starts and we can observe how the opposition defends him.

He makes a simple cross over from right to left. The dribble move isn't advanced at all, and is more or less a straight line to the basket after the initial cross. It's a move anyone can make (only works if you have the ability to accelerate though), you don't need much of a left hand to pull it off.

I really think you want Burks being the penetrator when Burke is at pg. Especially if Exum is playing pg rather than sg minutes.

I have no problem with this in SL but did anyone else feel like Exum sort of hogged the ball once it touched his hands last night? I could be imagining this tbh and SL is a whole 'nother brand of basketball. Just something that crossed my mind at a certain point. It, admittedly, could be entirely inaccurate.

Hogged the ball? I didn't get that - in fact, I actually found myself thinking several times: "keep the ball and make something happen for YOURSELF, Dante" since I found that so much of the time he would set up a teammate who would either miss or get fouled and then miss both free throws. (Looking at you, Big Frenchy.)

I do think he got trapped a couple of times when he a) was being pressed by a smaller guard as he brought the ball past the half-court line, or b) got pressed as he was attempting to go left, and in both cases as he tried to work himself out of the pressure/trap, he over-dribbled.

But overall? I thought he had marvelous and unselfish vision and was far less of a ballhog than any of our starting PGs since the fall of Deron - Trey, Mo, and Harris.

You are way off. Thought Exum was very unselfish and looking pass first on every play. If anything he needs to be more aggressive on offense.

Trey will never like being second fiddle to Exum.Trey was freezing Dante out last night and on 1 play pissed Exum off with Dante throwing his hands in the air standing wide open.We have Exum and Trey hasn't ruined his stock.I don't think these 2 can play together because they both want to be lead dog.When rubber hits the road Im choosing Exum every time.Get something for Trey now and bring over Neto or sign a PG to play behind Exum, Dante is a point guard and needs as many minutes playing only that.

Agree completely. Dante needs the ball in his hand. It's early but it was such an awkward fit last night. Once Trey was on the bench and Dante was the primary ball handler he looked waaaay more comfortable. I am in the camp that Trey needs to accept the back-up role or be traded ASAP.
