Better than drawing wide sweeping conclusions off of limited data any day. Again it's a possibility. Trey may just be a bad shooter in the pros. The point is let it play out.

I'll shoot you the numbers when I'm at my computer... The percentages are really good. Makes me wonder why he can't shoot that good all the time.

The 3pt shot against Houston in OT, then there's the play he drives pass Walker (yes he can drive) for that big floater to seal the game, He hit a big shot against PHX early in the year, and he hit another big 3 against the Wolves to end the season.

Dude. That was a game winner and yes, one of his clutchest moments.

Anyone who watched him last season saw at 4-5 big shots near the end of close games. He was by far the best under pressure out of all our players.

Did Trey **** your sister or something?
 
People have their mind made up about Trey. His play style or tattoos or whatever doesn't appeal to some people and it is what it is. He'll get his chance to succeed or fail either way. We can revisit this during the regular season as of now this is an exercise in futility.

He did make quite a few clutch baskets. I will give him that. I also recall many instances at the end of games when he overdribbled so he would be the one taking the shot.

Malcolm Thomas is higher than Burke (I know, small sample size). But there are a lot of other more clutch players (even Kendall Marshall according to that list). And if you change the differential to one point, Burks is higher than Burke. I'd prefer to have Exum in the clutch for his creating ability. How many times did Burke make an amazing pass in the clutch? Seems like he likes to try to be the hero. I want a PG who makes his teammates better and makes the plays that win.

Edit: While he made some clutch shots, I generally did not like the shots he was taking.

Dear God... Thomas had one attempt in the clutch last year... and he nailed it. Waaaay more clutch than Burke.

Marshall had 4 or 5 attempts and shot 75%...

Burke makes big shots... He just does. The numbers show that. He did it in college. On a team with no true number one option having a guy who handles the ball and makes shots helps you close out games.

Readjust the numbers by FGA and look at people who actually have some sort of sample size. Trey is good late in games and there is enough of a sample size to think its a trend.

The great thing about the link you sent is you can actually click on the FGA and the NBA will link you to videos of every single shot he took with those parameters. I just watched the Chicago game, and I have to say, he made a few good shoots, but he also forced it and missed some really bad ones. I also saw a few spots where he could have dished to open guys and he didn't. When I have time I may watch all of the clips. Really cool that the NBA gives access to this.

The technology is pretty awesome these days... Let me know what you see, but the percentages are pretty daunting. No one is perfect, but he's pretty damn good it seems.
