There are alot of teams that bring a scorer off the bench.

But how many teams bring thier BEST scorer off the bench?
Or for that matter, thier TWO BEST scorers off the bench?

The Celtics did with Havlicek during his early years. But it's about the only example I can recall off the top.

Can someone please tell me why Burks is still coming off the bench 60 games into the season while we continue to start one of the worst players in the NBA who has been washed up for years and is obviously not pat of the future?


Theres no reason why the starting lineup shouldn't be

Kanter
Hayward
Burks
Burke

And they all should be playing 35+ minutes per game

If you haven't been able to figure this out by 60 games then you never will.

I think he probably decided to bitch about it would only make it worse ... and hope that Corbin would be gone next year.

Im guessing not good.
However i think the jazz as a team are pretty horrible defensively. (Like 29th in the league iirc)

My point I was getting to is if Corbin thinks he can keep his job by fielding a great defensive team, then Kanter and Burks are high on his PT priority list.

I get ya.... but i think corbin prefers not to start kanter and burks no matter how much it would hurt or improve the the defense or offense.

He has jefferson and marvin to start

Also, jefferson is horrible on defense and marvin gets punished by big 4's quite often (even thaddeous young posted up and abused marvin in the first half last night)

Burks should start, play 36 minutes, and every play should be ran for him.

Uh, no they aren't. The Spurs and OKC both tanked in special drafts, got lucky, then made the right choice.

The Jazz are "kind of" tanking. They aren't tanking. Philly is full on tanking. Philly is following the Spurs/OKC model. The Lakers and Boston are following the Spurs/OKC model (which tells you the luxury tax is working).

The Jazz are following the Sacramento/Minnesota model. Suck, but not suck enough, then try to make the playoffs every year. Heck, even Orlando knows how to do it right. Suck, get Shaq/Howard, make an NBA finals, lose player to the Lakers, suck again.

Jazz are effectively tied with Boston and Los Angeles. just saying.
