Battlestar Galactica is about as good a sci-fi series as has ever been made, imo. A few WTF episodes here and there and a disappointing ending to the series, but some good acting and a great series overall.

I love me some sci-fi, the only problem is that actual quality writing, acting and production are hard to come by.

If you've never watched Dr. Who then start watching the old stuff. The damn thing started in 1963. Tom Baker is the best Dr. Who in my opinion. I watch the new series because I'm a fan at this point, but the old stuff is a lot more fun.

Really i liked the ending.
with "six feet under" i have those 2 endings as the best ever series endings

Not the direction I would have taken it. Rick is alienating possible allies. Daryl, Merl, Tyrese, Michonne and the 3 other new people. That is 7 adults when he is running short on people. If I was writing I would also have written Andrea and that sissy woodbury doctor guy into Ricks group as well. That increases them. Then I would have the black guy from the first season that saved Rick show up at the jail and open a way to freedom at the last minute. I'd have written his son off.

I'd have Carol, Merl (saving Darryl), the new father, Herschel's daughter, the woodbury doctor guy, Axel and Carl die in the attack.

That would leave Rick, Darryl, Michone, Andrea, Tyrese, Herschel, Glenn, Maggie, baby, guy from season 1, new black girl and the new teenager.

I'd end that fight by the governor losing his other eye and being blind and lost in the jail. Then zombies surround him and he can hear them. Then he starts laughing insanely while they rip him apart.

It would have lead to some potential for great inter group conflict. Glenn, Maggie and Merl in the same group? The woodbury and new people forming a clique against the old people? The new dad and his son wanting to take over from Rick?

Then I'd have the governor whip the woodbury general pop into a frenzy and attack the group. People killing people and zombies coming in behind them. As it appears that the woodbury people have Rick's expanded group trapped and are thinning their numbers the black guy fromt he first episode shows up and provides them an escape. Darryl and Merl are last to escape and as they are doing so something happens to Darryl and Merl sacrifices him self to save his brother and block off the escape so they can get away. Perhaps the governor grabs Darryl but Merl jumps him and they fight. The governor kills Merl but Merl takes his other eye as he dies and condems the governor to death as the zombies grab him.

That would be my season finale.
 
Storylines are boring now. This show has become more derivative, it's basically a Lost style "who's gonna die this week?" show. I'm still watching though, but I feel like the show thinks its more compelling than it is.
