The War On Christmas Just Got REAL!

.. .God made it clear to them.... For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.

Lol what a load of crap. You getting worse and worse with every post.

I still haven't actually seen anybody be outraged by this.

I have seen a lot of people be outraged about the supposed outrage though, so that's amusing.

It's probably some Starbucks ploy to get people talking about them, and "supporting" them, by buying the blah red cups.

I personally won't buy any coffee at Starbucks because I dislike bad coffee. They suck.

You might wanna see Trump's reaction to this, and the cheers in response to it.

How many people really honor Jesus on Christmas anyways? This is a holiday for being with family, and giving presents to who you care about.

On the flip side I'm always annoyed by my agnostic friends that refuse to say Christmas, and go with that Xmas ********!
Get over it! It's just a word. I dont ever think of Jesus when I say Christmas. I think of Christmas!

I don't really care what Trump has to say tbh. This is a very minority movement.

right, so Trump is surely focusing his campaign on messages that will only resonate with a handful of voters. Politics 101 I imagine. The man is ending leases of Starbucks in every tower of his (losing tons of money in the process) in order to win 10 votes.....

The reality is that he's pandering to the swaths of fundamentalist Christians that make up a big chunk of the GOP voter-base.

I'm old enough to remember a Christmas that was far less commercialized then it is today. We always exchanged gifts. Always had a tree. But we also knew what day it was in it's religious context. But I was also seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child. Maybe my parents were as put off by "5 more shopping days!!!!" as many are today. Personally, I really dislike the increasing degree of commercializations that has occurred in the decades since it seemed so much simpler. I do not like starting the "Holiday Season" the day after Halloween. I don't like the fact that one day of an entire year becomes the focus of so much retail shopping activity. To the point that Christmas is looked upon as a linchpin to the economy. How will the economy do? It's become more vital to our economy then our spiritual sustenance. That's not a blanket statement. Just in general terms. As one gets older, it has been my experience, I tire of this yearly commercial ritual. Rather tired of a 3 month long commercial ritual dominating the last three months of every year. To the degree it can if you let it. Or, if you feel trapped by it, as I have at times. Enough, already.

Those people he's supposedly pandering to? That's my group yo, my people. Literally nobody I know is talking about it. Nobody cares. That's what I'm trying to say,

I look forward to you telling me what fundamentalist Christians think tho.

If there is a video of Trump making this stupid comment and the audience cheering (I assume there is because Dal says there is, but I don't care to search) I'll bet that if you interviewed the actual people who cheered today, most of them would say it was a stupid comment. Just because the people listening to Trump are entertained by him (and respond the way all people do when they are entertained) does not mean that they agree with every word that comes out of his unfiltered mouth once they have an opportunity to process it.

Me too. And we sit and celebrate with my atheistic family. Nobody ever talks about religious meaning of it, it's just and occasion for us to spend time together and open gifts.
