I liked the minute distribution tonight.

Probably would have been even higher minutes if it wasn't a blowout. (Plus the bench was struggling)

Also, the starters stayed out of foul trouble.

Burks needs to be able to hit the elbow 3 with confidence more so than the corner. The elbow is where he is the biggest threat off the dribble. If he could add that he would be sooooo dangerous.

I think Burks can be a 20 point scorer just doing what he is doing currently. Not every player is the same as another player and has to do everything the same.

We can just disagree on this one. It's ok.

I have liked what I have seen from Alec last year and this year and I hope he keeps it up!

You choose to compare Alec to derozan so I provided stats..... stats which show that burks must already be doing what you ask of him since his numbers are much better than derozan and they play a similar game.

What's the problem again?

Name me one other 20+ scoring SG that takes 50%+ of shots at the rim. Burks isn't Wade.

He definitely can, but at what benefit to the team?

If he wants to be a benefit, the 3 ball is a necessity.

Burks was pretty much there last year already..... as 22 year old getting his first taste of real playing time under a horrible coach, with one of the slowest pace of play in the league.

Increase pace of play, run more, give him more experience, increase his free throw percentage to 80% (11-13 tonight), have a better coach, better floor spacing from his teammates to open up lanes for his driving game..... bam 20pts per game.

Edit: also he might start to get more calls from the refs and get even more free throw attempts.

Hey I think it's great if he takes and makes lots of threes. I'm with ya. But if he and snyder both are ok with his game then that's good enough for me.
I will let Burks and snyder work it out.

He did take some threes tonight, yet I didn't see anyone talking about how happy they were to see it.

He took almost the same amount of attempts as derozan and shot a much better percentage.
What don't we like about that?

My point is Wade is the only SG to do it. And it is because he shoots an incredible percentage at the rim that Burks hasn't even gotten close to. Burks won't score 20+ taking 50% of his shots at the rim. You can save this comment.
