What's new

There's a game on tonight.

I didn't get to watch the game and the nba.com video only had like two Jazz highlights. Those ********.

Glad to see Kanter had a breakout game though and that the other starters seem to be producing at a pretty consistent rate.

And, ****, Favors is looking so good. He's going to be an all-star in the next couple of years.
Yep
He is quietly the best player on the team imo

I haven't watched the games much until the last three of the pre-season, and I am astonished by the way the Jazz have been playing in comparison to the last couple of years. It clearly shows how terrible a coach Corbin was, even worse than I thought, and that is pretty awful. Either Snyder is simply a good coach by comparison or actually a basketball genius.

Maybe all the trade Kanter talk can stop and Jazz nation can just be excited about all the young guys. I know it is just preseason and just one game but this game is exactly why I haven't given up on Kanter.

I want to give them all time under Snyder before I start wanting to move pieces. I have hope for all the big pieces of this team.

But it appears Kanter is this years scapegoat. No pleasing some people, they just want to complain.

To me, it seems like his marching orders from Quin are to ATTACK CONSTANTLY.I don't think he's shooting fewer threes by mistake. He puts a ****load of pressure on the defense, even if you know he's gonna slash. He's going left and right, euro-stepping, leap-and-leaning. Seriously, it's fun to watch and really impressive.

His passing could improve. Kanter should be out 18 feet or further along the baseline, and Derrick should be roaming the opposite baseline and waiting.

Agreed. Especially with the bold.

Oh yeah, and Trey is shutting up the haters AGAIN.

In all fairness to the haters (of which I was NOT one of) Trey was playing huge chunks of one-dimensional basketball - and put forth a very underwhelming performance in the Summer League. Now he's taking the ball to the basket and breaking down the defense - and it seems like he's really, really good at it. To me watching him and Gobert has been the single most exciting thing about The Jazz this pre-season - and that's saying a lot.

There is an argument to be made there but Burke and Hayward should be in that convo as well. At least with how they are playing so far.

Yet, Burks leads the team in scoring, Gobert, leads the team in rebounding and blocks and Kanter has the highest scoring game of the pre-season. Bottom line is these guys are all very close and capable of being the "best" player on any given night.
