Og gawwwddd .... She always tell me I have 2 jobs. Do the laundry and do the dishes after dinner. I am fine with both. Laundry is all done. I have done the dishes every night for as long as I can remember. I have noticed she has been doing a load with the kids breakfast and lunch dishes when I get home from work. I do not feel like I need to clean up after the messes made while I'm at work. So, whatever. Anyways we are in bed last night and she goes "You're falling back into not doing anything around the house again." I sit up and try and bite my tongue as I look around at all of her **** all over the place. We have 2 kids a 5 yo and a 1 yo and the house would be pretty much spotless if it wasn't for my wife. How sad is that?

My tongue starts bleeding so I've got to talk. "Ummmm, I did the dishes. It's not my job to clean up after the messes you guys make while I'm at work. You are a stay at home mom, most of the household stuff is YOUR responsibility. If you are going to come at me for not doing my part you better make god damn sure you are doing yours." It didn't turn the light on in her head. Instead, and I dont remember all the details, but she said a few of these things.

"I don't have to make dinner every night." FYI she maybe makes dinner 2 or 3 times a week. And ummm, if you stay home it absolutely is your job to make dinner.
"I take care of the kids and clean all day while you're at work." Then why is the house always messier than when I left in the morning? And why are you laying in bed every day when I get home?
"I would love to have a job but I can't" Ummm false again, you quit your job because you were missing too much time with the kids. Which is great, but don't act like I'm keeping you locked in the house.

And she's still trying to start **** via text while I'm trying to post on a forum. PMS is the worst.

I for one would LOVE to hear it.

I get a peak at it though. As she texts her friend all the time so I get to read her version of some things after the fact.

One time I came home from work, pick up my son and walk into the room she's in. I kid you not before I can even say hi I get about 5 f bombs thrown at me, a few I hate you's a multitude of I hate yous etc .... BEFORE I CAN EVEN SAY A WORD! I honestly do not even remember what she was mad at, but I do remember it being extremely trivial. So naturally I don't respond with an I love you dear. Later that week I see her texts to her friend and they go something like this.

"Ugh, can I come over. He is being such an *******!"

"Of course. Why is he being a dick?"

"I have no idea, he's just been an ******* since he walked in the door."

Like the fact she screamed at me for 10 min about the stupidest thing ever had nothing to do with my reaction.

Your wife upsets me........ scares me too cause I think my wife is heading in the same direction. (My wife is always talking about quitting her job, she always says she does so much more than me around the house even though laundry, dishes, vacuuming, garbages, catbox, sweeping, mopping, cleaning up dog poop, mowing the lawns, shoveling the walks, cleaning out rain gutters, etc etc are all my "jobs"...... and more and more she lays in bed in the afternoon...... plus I work overtime and she is always late to work or calls in sick and never works ot even though she can if she wants...... she is always buying random stuff and always wants to spend money on frivolous services that I find unnecessary like having the house sprayed for bugs every few months and lawn care stuff)

Wow, are you secretly living my life?

I knew something like this was going to happen because she had been doing things around the house for like 2 days. Nevermind the month previous where she hadnt done a damned thing. She thinks 1 or 2 days makes up for me keeping everything straight for the last month by myself.

So your wife just doesn't want to work at all or she doesn't like her job? Or both?

She doesn't want to work....... but that may be because she hates her job.

To her credit she is trying to start her own business but it's in a field that I don't think will really make any money.

So far there has only been expenses and no income. She is smart and good at her field but I'm worried it will never really be very profitable and then I will have to pay for everything..... which I wouldn't mind if I made more money or we (she) spent less. $90 dollars for a haircut, pedicures, manicures, massages, etc. Plus she is always wanting to remodel something and always talking about selling our house and moving into a better (more expensive) house in a better area. I have worked hard to get my mortgage payment pretty low (put down 35,000 last year on a re-finance)
I don't want to move. We have a nice house and kearns is not really that bad.
