What's new

This is interesting....

It would be funny of Hornacek somehow wins COY this year for PHX's progress when Sloan never actually won one.

Pretty sure Thibs is still under contract for an entire year and if he isn't, it's reported that New York really wants him.

The Jazz aren't getting him.
New York has no assets. Thibodeau isn't leaving Chicago without a considerable pick coming back. Players won't work. The Boston/ Clippers deal for Doc Rivers set the bar. . . an unprotected pick two years from now (and a huge contract) is the cost of buying a top notch coach from a team ready to cut a deal. Utah has the most desirable pick for a team that doesn't compete directly with the Bulls year in and year out. Plus DL and TT worked together in Houston for years. If they have a good working relationship then it might make it more likely that he'd be willing to come to Utah. If he's not in Chicago next season (which is the most likely scenario) then I think it's more likely that a western team gets him instead of New York.

If Mr. Thibodeau desires Deng and Fredette the Mr. Lindsey should acquire Deng and Fredette. I'm not a BYU fan but I don't quite understand the extreme Jimmer aversion.

Besides that he doesn't have a position, is a fringe NBA player (if one at all), and would be a huge distraction every single day if he played here?

Don't we want a distraction?

Good point here.

How come Ty had a spat with a player almost every year that he had coached the Jazz (Bell, CJ, Earl, etc), except the year that we're SUPPOSED to tank???!!!

So how is this different than Sloan? I am sure that Sloan never yelled at his players. I don't know what was said but if Ty was yelling at his team for a lack of effort then he is doing his job. Last night performance (except for a few players) was embarrassing and pathetic even if you are for the tank.

Ty was yelling "The vets were tremendous for us out there. The young guys have to go through things." Because that's what he says during every single interview.

Why would Thibs touch NY? Carmelo, Smith, Amare? That team is going nowhere fast. They screwed themselves under Layden, then turned around and did the exact same thing with Amare and Carmello.

On a more serious note on the postgame radio Burks and somebody else were yucking it up after the game. Can't remember who else. If Corbin saw that I would hope he did something about it.
