I think holding out hope that Clarkson changes the way he plays is fools gold. He is who he is.Just three games ago we played pretty well. Being such a new team it's going to take more than a couple of months to gel. I think if we can get Clarkson, Sexton and THT to embrace more of a pass-first mentality the guys will be more likely to give full effort. We need to use up the shot clock. It must be deflating for the guys to watch Clarkson play hero-ball and fail.

Problem is, Clarkson has such a shallow bag that he cannot have 25% usage rate as a starter in a good team. Every time he gets the ball he either shoots directly or goes for dribble penetration without a plan where he doesnt throw early passes EVER let alone go in with intentions to draw defenders and open up a kickout pass.
The tape is there. Every opponent we have played has aboslutely destroyed us by doing the most simple combo of "drive to draw help + kickout pass + open shot" against us over and over again, but our SGs still dont seem to know thats possible. They NEVER go in planning to pass, and even if the wide open pass to a wide open look is there right in front of them, they instead take some dumb *** fadeaway middy (THT), drive to the trees to get swatted (Sexton) or start rotating around their plant leg with no purpose until they are completely trapped (Clarkson).
