What's new

This Team.

I say trade CJ and Harris for any available upgrade at PG. Bell is a valuable mentor to both Burks and Hayward and can be a lock down defender. Trading CJ will open up more minutes forHayward, Burks and Jeremy Evans.

this idea has been thrown around a ton. If you want people to listen you have to give a specific PG that could be had for Harris and CJ. Who?

Stuckey, Holiday, or Calderon.

I doubt the Sixers want to trade Holiday now but I was a huge advocate for trading Harris + a future 1st + CJ for Holiday. It would of been attractive at the start of the season given that the Jazz were predicted last in the west.

"This Team"

He jumped so high I did not recognize
The ball reflected in his eyes
The chaos that his D inspired
Whispered goodbye as Favors jumped like a plane
Swatted ball never to return again
This Jazz team’s in my heart

This team has taken its toll on me
They seemed to suck too many times before
Their chemistry is forming in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say “you suck” anymore

I tried my best to cheer for CJ Miles
When he kept chucking every night
So hard to keep him on the floor
Kept cheering Hayward and Favors in the game
Pretending to feel the same for Bell
Then move pins in the voodoo doll

This team has taken its toll on me
They seemed to suck too many times before
Their chemistry is forming in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say “you suck” anymore

Corbin will fix this broken D
Repair the broken three’s
And make sure Millsap’s a beast
His defense will force baseline
Our post game is looking fine
Burks and Kanter will get time
Cause he knows that's what we want him to do

This team has taken its toll on me
They seemed to suck too many times before
Their chemistry is forming in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say “you suck” anymore

This team has taken its toll on me

They seemed to suck too many times before

This team has taken its toll on me
They seemed to suck too many times before
Their chemistry is forming in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say “you suck” anymore…

Holiday was never on the market. never.

Calderon isn't a long-term answer, but I'd rather have him than Harris. I don't think you need to throw in CJ. I don't think this deal will get done.

Stuckey is meh. With him, we have the same spacing problems and passing problems as with Harris.

UTAH trades: Harris

ATL trades: Hinrich + this year's first-round pick (I'm just guessing they still own this)

Obviously Hinrich has to pass his physical. He could backup Watson, who's been very good with the starting players. Hinrich is a better defender and 3-pnt shooter when healthy. Harris fits with ATL better. ATL is in a win now sort of mode, and Harris helps them.

EDIT TO ADD: Hinrich is in the final year of his deal, fyi.

I love the idea of a Harris/Hinrich swap, but do you really think ATL would do this? If Hinrich is in the final year of his deal I can't see why they'd look to take on Harris. Harris isn't also in the final year of his deal, is he?

I'm definately feeling better about the team than I was before the season. Having said that, I'm keeping my expectations grounded until they prove they can compete on the road consistently. Denver was probably looking past us somewhat last night, because of how bad they creamed us the first time around. On the positive side, Utah did a GREAT job of not letting the officials take them out of their game, especially down the stretch. That was a big problem in the blowout losses on the road to start the year.
Great point re: officials. When players dwell on their bad calls, it takes them out of their game as much as the other team. We were so FOCUSED in the Denver game; we just kept playing thru their questionable calls as well as our own miscues. NO whining I can recall. That's exactly what we gotta do!

I think Harris is good fit for ATL. While Harris has one more year on his deal after this year, I don't think that stops ATL, who is likely looking to add a piece that complements their transition game. Remember, they have Joe Johnson to carry the half-court playmaking responsibilities.

I don't think any one in the Sixers organization thought they would start out this well. The package of Harris, 1st rounder and CJ has huge upside especially given that Miles and Harris were known as decent players before this season and the Sixers could get a top 5 pick. No one thought Harris would be averaging 8 and 5 except Jazz fans.

You are talking out of your ***. Doug Collins has been very high on Jrue for a long time. He's the most untouchable player on that team.
