What's new

This Team.

I'm definately feeling better about the team than I was before the season. Having said that, I'm keeping my expectations grounded until they prove they can compete on the road consistently. Denver was probably looking past us somewhat last night, because of how bad they creamed us the first time around. On the positive side, Utah did a GREAT job of not letting the officials take them out of their game, especially down the stretch. That was a big problem in the blowout losses on the road to start the year.
Great point re: officials. When players dwell on their bad calls, it takes them out of their game as much as the other team. We were so FOCUSED in the Denver game; we just kept playing thru their questionable calls as well as our own miscues. NO whining I can recall. That's exactly what we gotta do!

I love the idea of a Harris/Hinrich swap, but do you really think ATL would do this? If Hinrich is in the final year of his deal I can't see why they'd look to take on Harris. Harris isn't also in the final year of his deal, is he?

I think Harris is good fit for ATL. While Harris has one more year on his deal after this year, I don't think that stops ATL, who is likely looking to add a piece that complements their transition game. Remember, they have Joe Johnson to carry the half-court playmaking responsibilities.

Holiday was never on the market. never.

Calderon isn't a long-term answer, but I'd rather have him than Harris. I don't think you need to throw in CJ. I don't think this deal will get done.

Stuckey is meh. With him, we have the same spacing problems and passing problems as with Harris.

I don't think any one in the Sixers organization thought they would start out this well. The package of Harris, 1st rounder and CJ has huge upside especially given that Miles and Harris were known as decent players before this season and the Sixers could get a top 5 pick. No one thought Harris would be averaging 8 and 5 except Jazz fans.

You are talking out of your ***. Doug Collins has been very high on Jrue for a long time. He's the most untouchable player on that team.
