Modern Russ is THT at home
Modern Russ is THT at home
THT is school lunch Russ.Modern Russ is THT at home
I was telling my son that very thing earlier today. I dont think he is as self consumed when he plays as Russ is but he has a style and tendencies that are very Russ like.If I'm being honest, there are some similarities between THT and Russell Westbrook. Both are unreliable shooters. Both are great at pushing the ball and attacking the rim on the break. Both can beat their defender off the dribble, but who knows what will happen next. THT is shiftier and more creative with the ball, but I'm not sure what benefit it yields.
Correct. Bad analogy from me.I'm not selling. I'm buying
Examples of THT's passing brilliance:

0:42, zings a hit ahead pass past PG to Lauri and turns a play that wouldnt have been a fastbreak into an easy fastbreak dunk.
1:06 after a made basket immedaitelly pushes ahead and zips a hit ahead to Ochai for a fastbreak layup that had no business being a fastbreak.
1:45 hits KO for a perfect dime in transition on a fastbreak seal
These are the kind of fastbreak looks THT creates that no other guard on our team does.
*not to mention all the sexy left handed finishes for a guy who supposedly lacks touch*
I posted the KSL interview which Hardy gave after the second Clippers game few posts back.Hardy talked about backcourt pairing here
He can cross out tht/sexton pairing I guess
No he didn't.I posted the KSL interview which Hardy gave after the second Clippers game few posts back.
Hardy essentially confirmed there that THT wont start.
He said THT works best with perimeter players, not bigs. Lauri is a perimeter player (unlike the author indicated) but Kessler isnt.Hardy said THT worked best with spaced bigs. Maybe like our freaking best player Lauri you dingus.
Guess what, all our guards work best with spaced bigs.
Thats instant offense. On both ends of the floor. Horrible defense for that starting line up.If I had control and I didn't care about egos, I would do this:
Start -THT, Clarkson, Ochai, Lauri, Collins
2nd unit - Dunn, Sexton, Key, Olynyk, Kessler.
Centers will be undersized against Kessler. He can be more impactful on offense and he would be a monster on defense against 2nd unit players.
John Collins as the center in the starting unit would space the floor. Our defense would be weak but we would be spaced and I think the offense would excel.
