Tie breaker for lottery teams?

I actually believe they do a random drawing, meaning they put the two or three teams names into a hat and draw to see who gets the higher pick.

Just know that the Jazz will get the lowest possible pick if there is a 3-way tie...then, if by some crazy "stroke" of luck (ie. Stern has a stroke...) and we get a better pick, then we'll celebrate!

They take the ping-pong balls and split them evenly.

Say 4th gets 50, 5th 40, and 6th 30, they would put all 120 ping-pong balls and divide them 3 ways. So each of the teams tied for 4th would get an equal amount of 40.

If there is an odd number then they draw to see who gets the 1 extra. So if 13th pick was 8 and 14th pick was 5 they would put the 13 together, each would get 6 and one would get the extra to make 7.

No. If it's a three way tie they count up the total number of illegitimate children sired by athletes currently on the roster and then divide by the number of players. The team with the highest average picks first because in the NBA lottery, losing is winning.

I am not all that excited about this draft. No one appears to be a game changer. Some nice starters perhaps, maybe fringe all-star, nothing to get too thrilled about if we get the first pick. The we get to pick 1 of the 4 or 5 guys at the top, who at this point are really all interchangeable.

All I know is it has to do with ping pong balls and quarters but to many words I need pics *that wont get me a warning*.

Here are the odds for each seed to get specific picks if there were no ties (rounded to 3 decimal places):

In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination(s). The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery.

Opps sorry the chart did not transfer right, but hopefully the rest helps.

I thought they did it by number of tattoos and that is why they are encouraged to get as many as they possibly can. If Denver is ever in this situation, they win, hands down.

In the case of 3, you take three coins, assign one to each team. Flip each coin, the two teams with matching results move on, team with out matching is elimanyed, gets last pick. Then you go down to one coin, assign each team one side, then flip again for the winner. Or for the jazz, use 2 headed coin, assign them tails, then swallow your whistle on the push off.
