But Stern lived a long life; when someone dies prematurely like this, it is very tragic. My best friend died at 29; it was so much sadder than when someone who is in their 80s dies.

I'm pretty sure his daughters weren't on the heli. ABC News said it on air but every other outlet said they weren't on board. I think the reporter just misread the teleprompter or something.
