Steph Curry is by far the best player on either team.
Bogut is so much better than Jefferson it's laughable.
David Lee is >>>> Millsap
Jarret Jack as a backup is better than all three of the Jazz' point guards combined.
Unlike Foye, Klay Thompson can drive, hit the mid-range, and guard the other end.
Harrison Barnes is already better at everything than Burks.

All of that and your Queen Mark Jackson won a whopping four (4) more games than Corbin, who had eight (8) expiring veteran contracts to deal with. Suck it, Warriorsfanz.com

.....although Mark Jackson has gained quite a bit of popularity with NBA players and media, I'm not a big fan myself. Of course, I'm not a big NBA booster anyway, as most of you know! But I've followed the sport for decades and here's my take on Jackson. He had some skills as a player and has some skills as a coach, but he's lacking in what I would deem as basketball "sense" sometimes! He wasn't very fond of John Stockton and that's just not good basketball "sense", correct? He played with Stockton both as a teammate and opponent and didn't come across as very respectful in either setting. His basketball commentary was also somewhat skewered as he used hyperbole and ESPN rhetoric to sell the sport rather than present the facts! That being said, I predict the Spurs and Popovich to take his boys out in 6 or 7 games! (Depending on how bad that kids ankle is sprained!)

Burks (who plays a different position than Barnes) is a better player than Barnes.

I'm really just not that impressed with Barnes.

Does it get under your skin that people are giving Corbin, from your perspective, an unfair shake?

I'll admit I'm kinda salty that Klay is more recognized than Burks, but I'd rather have Kanter/Favors/Hayward/Burks than Curry/Barnes/Klay.

Also I wouldn't give Lee 4 >'s over Millsap

I agree that Mark Jackson blows, but that doesn't mean Corbin doesn't.

That's neither here nor there.

Most around the league like Jackson. What is it that you see different from them?

I don't expect non-professionals to understand their own ignorance, no... Typical D-C. I also have a high appreciation for top level amateurs here like GVC & Wes Mammoth gut. Where is Wes anyway?

Steph Curry is by far the best player on either team.
Yup.
Bogut is so much better than Jefferson it's laughable.
Whut? Defensively, yes, but offensively, no. It's a wash, really.
David Lee is >>>> Millsap
Oops, typo. You wanted the key to the left. Lee is a Boozer clone without the douchey personality, but with the same matador cape.
Jarret Jack as a backup is better than all three of the Jazz' point guards combined.
It's a low bar to clear, but nevertheless true.
Unlike Foye, Klay Thompson can drive, hit the mid-range, and guard the other end.
You're comparing a starter with a guy who should be coming of the bench, but the facts are indisputable.
Harrison Barnes is already better at everything than Burks.
He certainly gets more court time.

All of that and your Queen Mark Jackson won a whopping four (4) more games than Corbin, who had eight (8) expiring veteran contracts to deal with. Suck it, Warriorsfanz.com
You're correct - Mark Jackson underachieved with the roster he had (that was your point, wasn't it?). Corbin underachieved worse.

Ah, Ewa Barbara Sonnet. IAWTPic. Needs more oil.

Disagree.

Mark Jackson is a good coach.

The first thing you need to be a good coach is to be able to sell what you are doing, to your players. You have to be able to get your guys to buy into what you are doing. Mark Jackson is doing that. I think the people who dislike him as a coach are just hating on him because they are offended by him following managements decision to tank. Whether or not you like that is neither here nor there. It doesn't matter. Or maybe you don't like him because of the things he has said about Stockton. Again, that doesn't matter. It has no bearing on whether or not he is a good coach. I think a lot of people just can't seperate the two. Mark Jackson is one of the better point guards to play the game. Do you really think he doesn't understand basketball? I got news for you, he does.

And one of the real keys to doing that is to have something that makes sense, that sounds like it will work, that feels like it will work. That will make believers out of them. And if the coach is right, and it does work, or looks like it will, then the belief grows.

But Corbin had no system that would encourage that belief. He had a system of "throw to Big Al and stand around and watch him" while at the other end BA gets abused time and again. Bad system = no reason to believe in it.

It is well known that defense wins games and also that Big Al sucks on D. Yet Ty went all in for BA. Fail End of story.

LMAO. And Corbin is doing what right now? Fishin. And Jackson is doing what right now? In the second round of the playoffs, scaring the hell out of the Spurs.

Good coaches make players look better than they are. Bad coaches make player look worse than they are.

Yup.
Whut? Defensively, yes, but offensively, no. It's a wash, really.

Offensively, Jefferson uses possessions in a way that is closer to taxing his own team than helping (notwithstanding the putrid defense and how his play magically makes the players around him worse). The only reason there can be debate between the two players is Bogut's injury history and proclivity. And maybe the relative contract statuses.

I dunno man.. to get respect as a coach in the NBA these days I think you need to be either:

- Great/been-there-done-that former player (McHale, Jackson)

- Great bball minds (SVG, Thibodeau, Hubie, Brown)

- Great leader (Phil Jackson, Popovich)

Obviously guys like Phil and Pop are also great bball minds which makes them greatest of all time.

Ty Corbin is just neither of those. He was a below average former player. He's definitely not a bball genius. He's not a great leader. I struggle to come up with what he's actually good at.

Disagree.
