Told you Rubio is not going to help us. He's a backup PG at best.

Rubio has been great for us so far and will continue to get better as he learns our team and system better. Being a great passer is getting comfortable with your teammates and knowing what they do.

I expect his turnovers to slowly go down as he fits in and the assists to go up. The assists will definitely go up as our good shooters start hitting their open shots.

I think he ends the season around 14 ppg and 11 assists per game. His shooting percentage will be closer to .425 or so. He is shooting really well from 2 point range, career best at .500 on the most shot attempts in his career as well. His 3 point percentage will come back up.

He will have a career best season this year.

Lets also not forget he has been great on defense.

I think part of it will just be the Jazz are going to have to lean on Hood even more with low risk possessions.

I think Hood needs to average 18 shots per game this year.
 
They have to work their way into an offense that centers around solid ball movement, sharp play, and high energy and precision. That takes time. Right now Rubio is feeling it all out, figuruing out where guys want the ball, how to break things down and get the players to react the right way. It will results in turnovers and broken plays until they all learn to play off each other, especially without a go-to guy on offense. They don't have a hayward to give the ball to for him to create something for himself or someone else and most of them are used to playing with a guy like that. Pure team ball is tough to learn and execute. Didn't anyone watch "Hoosiers"? And we don't even have a Jimmy Chitwood.

So far that looks pretty promising. When he has played it has been pretty good. We just need him to start setting up other players a little better as well as getting his own.
 
Was not a fan of the trade at the time for all of the reasons mentioned in the video. I honestly have the hardest time envisioning how any lineup that features Rubio and two non-floor-spacers is supposed to play winning basketball. Rubio and Favors basically have to be lights-out shooters on open midrange shots for the offense to work, and even open mid-range shots aren't the best.

I don't know what the answer exactly is, but I don't think Rubio, Favors, and Gobert can share the floor. Rubio and Gobert have a chance at good chemistry if surrounded by three floor-spacers.

That sounds great on the days when he's not injured or ****ting his pants. And on the other days? DM is our biggest hope for a really good season. The sooner Quin recognizes that the better.

Wait, recognizes what? That the Jazz need to rely on a totally unreliable player to suddenly become totally reliable, or that the Jazz need to rely on a guy that passes the eye test but actually has sucked so far?

He scored 15 points in a quarter. You'd have to be blind to not see his potential.

I just hope Quin doesn't worry about feelings being hurt and lets DM play through his inevitable ups and downs. Obviously Quin knows, he has unleashed him a few times already.

every problem the wolves had has now carried over to the Jazz. You have 2 bigs that set screens for a guy who can't shoot. That forces the defender to totally sag off, A. rubio isnt gona shoot and B. rudy or favors cant hit an outside shot.

this guys a disaster.

Worse still - he can't get to the rim anymore and has never been able to finish.
