Hmm, I think with Collier and Cody out of the rotation and Lauri and Keyonte playing much better, we're probably like a 28-32 win team without fake injuries.

Kind of stuck in a weird zone, need to either trade Lauri or trade for veteran guards.

Yeah, I’ll a little nervous about OKC finally taking our pick this year.

We have been fishing for good players and found some. We have at least a big two with ace and Lauri, and with the new CBA punishing going over the tax we might not need a third. As long as a few more are starter quality players we should be fine. On top of that, we still have a bunch of picks from the first couple trades.

If we play our best players as much as possible, make no trades to get worse, and try to win each game..... then we wont have a top 5 pick imo.
I dont think those things happen though. I think we do more tanky shenanigans and get a top 5 pick. I hope anyway.

That, like, describes every single team that finished in the bottom 5 in the last several years. All of them would have been much higher if had they not tanked for at least a good chunk of the season. Had the Jazz played to win in every game during the last season they would have probably finished above Brooklyn in the 6th worst place. Washington, Toronto, Charlotte, Philadelphia and New Orleans would have gladly lost to the Jazz.

We've looked somewhat respectable in these two games mostly because Lauri is playing on a higher level than his All Star season (check the numbers). He's been on fire and ridiculously efficient. That's enough to take you from bad to mid at this point of the season, with defenses not exactly firing on all cylinders and teams giving minutes to unproven rookies.

Ace has been a complete non-factor so far.

Yep. Austin indicated that he wouldn't do any tanky shenanigans. I hope he was lying.
Are you ok man? You seem to have a bee in your bonnet that is making you really nit picky today about things that are not a big deal.

Vote was 12-12 before Ace and Collier started playing well and Lauri went into hyperdrive. But also before Kessler went down.

I don't think the Jazz are much better than we thought, but more so several teams are much worse than we thought.

Offense is humming and defense isn't. Winning tight games though so we have some heart and are becoming a team. Cool to watch it happen. Hope Keyonte, Ace, Isaiah, Flip and Brice continue to impress.

If we get close we are guaranteed the 5th pick. That's about as high as they will allow us nowadays, while the NBA decides who needs the top picks more for marketing and merchandising purposes.

We're not too good to tank.
Jazz DRTG best 3 active are Nurkic, Filipowski, Sensabaugh at 109.9, 118.2 and 119.3; team ranks bottom 5 or 6...
Jazz brass just lose the games, why to be a kitten in a savage league ruled by carnivores who rewards corruption of norms in plain sight, why to gift OCK with a high pick, why, why, WHYYYYYY????... hahahaaha I'm nuts, better continue to work a little bit.

Would be happy to get the 5th pick Jazz would still get a very good player

Absolutely not. Half of the Jazz’s wins are very close wins (a nightmarish outcome so far and if it continues, which suggests this team is seriously not good but will still receive a worse draft slot than the best team in the league).
