It seems as if the Jazz rely too much on schemes to play their best basketball, and not enough on pure athleticism and talent (probably because they’re lacking in it). They have great offensive schemes, and great defensive schemes. But when teams throw wrenches into those schemes, the Jazz don’t have that pure talent and athleticism 1-on-1 game to adapt and overcome. And obviously this looks true on both ends of the court right now.
You know how we might rag on teams like the Wolves or Knicks or Rockets even that are overflowing with all this talent and athleticism but lack in leadership or experience or toughness or solid coaching or management... What if the Jazz are overflowing with experience and great coaching schemes, but simply don’t have enough talent or athleticism to compete at the highest of levels?
