Top 3!!!

I think Derrick Williams is a power 3, rather than a PF in most line-ups.

Picking at #3 though I think the Jazz will get all the top 6 players in for workouts. It's a good position to be in.

This is an awkward draft for the Wolves. Derrick Williams and Beasley clash. Kanter and Love are similar players. Irving is the player they should take but may not be available. Knight might be a good solution for them because he can play both guard spots.

Jazzman12's thoughts:

-So fitting that the main pick Utah ended up netting for D-Will ends up being the same pick D-Will was originally taken with.

-While Williams intrigues me, I think Utah should resist the tempation (if there is any) of trading up. Staying put @ 3 and taking Kanter is a huge coup for this franchise.

-Nobody's a bigger Millsap than than me, but if Utah comes out of this draft with either Williams or Kanter, it certainly does make Sap expendable.

-If KOC has any takers, I would seriously consider drafting Kanter and then packaging Millsap and the #12 pick in a effort to move up high enough to select Brandon Knight or Kemba Walker depending on who's still available. I think that Millsap and the #12 is tantalizing enough to get Utah back into the top 5 or 6.

-After the D-Will trade I really wanted to see Utah rebuild this team from the frontcourt out. Jumping to the #3 is the exact stroke of luck Utah badly needed to do just that. Adding Kanter/Williams to the mix is going to make the Jazz a nightmare to deal with up front.

i would rather seeing jefferson traded. Because millsap can accept a bench role in the upcoming years but jefferson wont at all. And we can create a calary space for this young and talented players in future instead of losing them. And plus, i see Kanter as a great partner with Favors. They perfectly compliment eachother. They will both need bigger roles in 2 yrs and Jefferson will be a burden then. We better lose him now

We shouldn't go trading Al Jefferson. He is a) a guy who can play center and produce, and b) our best player right now.

I read an article where Williams said he prefers to be called a 3/4 than a 4/3. He thinks he'll be mainly a small forward in the league. But I might agree with Sepanol. There's something about him that makes me very insecure at the 3 and fearful he's really just a tweener 4. I'd much rather have Kanter. We'll see how the combine and workouts clarify or complicate things.

I think it's possible Kanter might the best in this draft. (although I really want Biyombo's defense somehow).

My thoughts exactly. Jefferson is a frickin' monster in the low post and he's not undersized. When in doubt you trade the guy who's undersized for his position and not nearly as effective down low.

I think Derrick Williams could be a dominant power 3. The question is--can he do it for 35 minutes a night, or will he take plays off? That's the problem with Carmello. Some plays he's awesome, and some plays he's coasting in rest-mode.

I'm really feeling that we are getting Derrick Williams at #3 overall. The Timberwolves have a need at center and I think that they will take Kanter after Cleveland takes Irving. I would then take Jimmer with the #12 pick. We then go with this depth chart next year:

PG: Devin Harris, Jimmer Fredette, Earl Watson
SG: Gordon Hayward, C.J. Miles, Jimmer Fredette
SF: Derrick Williams/Paul Millsap, Jeremy Evans
PF: Derrick Favors, Paul Millsap/Derrick Williams, Mehmet Okur
C: Al Jefferson, Mehmet Okur/Kyrylo Fesenko

I would take Brooks or Selby over Jimmer at 12. I love the fact that the Jazz get the #3 pick and that they can take a swing with the #12. It's like playing with house money.

I am seeing all kinds of rumors that Minnesota wants to move the #2 pick, does anyone have any links to any sources?

I have come full circle with Jimmer at 12. At first I didn't want him. Then I started to think about his dedication to training. His underrated athletic ability. His freaky good scoring ability. I want to see him in workouts but he might be steal at 12 if he can play a little D.

Crack a Beer!

You all owe me. Period. It's Premonition Teusday in Franklinville. Jazz balls don't flop right without my ever so gentle coaching. I stroked us right into a top 3, pure Horny style. You all laughed, then cried, and finally broke down, looked down, and mumbled "yes, daddy". Then, after all the build up to failure, KABOOOM! "Ooh, ooh, yes, Daddy Franklin! What more do you want, DF?"

Check the record books. Who's there? That's right, it's Franklin and NOBODY else. All naysayers-Jazzbadluck and NBAconspiracyagainstthejazz should be 70 percent of the screen names. Just add a 1, 2, or whatever pre/suffix to it.

Screw 2012, I'm having a Tea Party right now, commie bitches. Ye frickin' ha!
