Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

..., although they apparently knocked this time.

There was a banging on the door. If that was knocking, they did not respond to someone yelling "Who is it?" inside the apartment. They just kept banging until the door broke down.

I haven't heard that account. Just that they "knocked" but yes, I'm sure it wasn't a cordial "May I come in please?" knock. But they technically didn't have to knock or announce their presence, which is idiotic imo. But they high level is they legally went to a house with a warrant, they were then shot at, they then shot back. Then an innocent woman was killed.

It just sucks and was very likely completely avoidable if certain stupid but legal practices weren't allowed in the first place.

I moved my reply to a more appropriate location.

Million object to the numerous agenda points listed on the BLM official website (they took that portion down 4 days ago) which included:

* Dissolution of the family structure
* the Marxist revolution
* Abolishing the police

There was no such portion 4 days ago, nor 4 months ago, nor 4 years ago. I don't know why you believe this lie, but it is a lie.

I know this because, just about 4 months ago, on Victor Reppert's blog some racist dirt-bag was complaining about the same thing. He even claim that a video still up was anti-family. I broke down several different images, with time points, of showing what seemed to be loving, heterosexual families. That's how blinded some of these critics are. They ignore what is plainly in front of their face.

I know this because, several years ago when BLM still had a 10-point list of goals on their site, I was having these discussions. Here's the BBC reciting that list. Also, here are the 13 guiding principals. Please point out the ones that call for dissolution of the family structure, a Marxist revolution, or abolishing the police.

But those are the extreme positions, which the BLM founders are now walking back and denying.

That is another lie I have been hearing for years.

More basically, there are millions of Black Americans who oppose taking a knee (especially those who are Police, Firefighters and members of the military - not limited to them, but especially them)..

Look at item number 8 on this poll. I don't thin I trust you to speak for how black police officers (or firefighers, soldiers, sailors, etc.) feel about kneeling. I'm sure some hate it, just like some white officers would support it.

I'll let Jason Whitlock explain:

I really enjoyed the part where he invoked MLK in support of not making white people uncomfortable. You don't often see a self-own that complete.

Most news reports gave incorrect information about this case, and while I’d argue for police reform - the negligence of the media borders on criminal incitement.

I read the Tatum report he is referring to, and nothing in it says Taylor was involved with drug running. In fact, parts of it make clear she avoided involvement with the drugs, such as when she does not enter a house with drug trafficking that Glover enters.

I disagree. Plus she was an “emt” for 6 months in 2016. Then was fired with a do not rehire tag. So the fact that the media is pretending she was just some do gooder emt in training isa 100% lie.

So it sucks she got killed but the evidence adds up to about a 99.9999% chance she was actively involved in the drug trade.

Apparently, she was an ER technician working on being a nurse. She quit without notice, hence the "do not rehire" tag.

You're falling for lies being spread to smear the victim.

I was involved in the drug trade at different points in my life.
I wonder if I deserved to die.

So was I. But if I was involved with the drug trade, pretty much everyone I was involved with was also, then the cops reasonably surveilled me, then my buddy shot at the cops when they weee executing a reasonable and legal warrant, and I was caught in the crossfire I’d like to think I’d understand why I was now dead.

A 1am plain clothes raid (that was at best poorly announced, and seems likely to have been unannounced) will never be reasonable in my book. And this all for the ex-girlfriend of a minor drug dealer.
