It has to be done. The Jazz don't even need a difference maker back. They just need someone who can be net neutral. Of course I would love Watanabe, but the Jazz could probably set their sights a bit higher for a more battle tested vet who still has good years left. Maybe a Garry Harris? He's been playing well lately for the Magic.

Obviously the Magic don't want JC, so it would have to be a multiple team trade

I think Clarkson is a cool cat and I wish him the best. But I’ve had it with either his endless chucking style or Snyder’s lack of accountability. On the rare occasion Clarkson plays well with his teammates, he’s an effective player. But rarely does that happen. If anything, it seems like Snyder wants him to ignore his 4 teammates and cast away. I’ve had enough of that. And am willing to give Hughes a chance to come in, not as “flame on” chuckin the ball is very time he touches it, but as a regular bench player to shoot a few 3s and play hard on defense.

It’s just not enjoyable to watch Clarkson come in a Chuck away. It’s like bad ward basketball.

If DL or Zanik were still in charge I would give this about a 10% chance of happening. But with Ainge, I legit think there's a decent chance he gets moved.

I'm not convinced there is a trade out there that makes us better in the short term considering what we give up and getting someone that will immediately fit. If we are to make a trade, Clarkson has become the most logical candidate, especially if it creates a few more shots for Conley, Bogey, and Gay.

I'm not a fan of his either but I do think he made some good points here.
He generally has good info... his method of communication is generally like the "bad" examples in every business, HR, or self help book. He's so unlikable... even his twitter profile pic... the hell is that... are you a member of the band Queen? Maybe some shadowy reporter who tells the truth whether the government like it or not?

Even though he gives good info I had to unfollow him because he's too annoying. His point is essentially JC shoots a lot and isn't efficient. Its a solid point... Trent isn't a great comparison because if he tried to create 50% of the offense that JC does it would make JC look like Steph. There is no secret to what he's pointing out. If JC keeps shooting like this the rest of the year we likely would have been better off moving him for something else... if that something else is useful.

As far as trades I’m not sure what would be there. Philly would have interest if they don’t have something lined up for Ben… I think Atlanta would have some interest because the non-Trae minutes are crap and they had some success with Lou last year in a JC type role. Cleveland I thought would have interest but apparently they want to keep Sexton. Not sure Boston would have interest given their issues… maybe if they are offloading Schroeder in the deal.

I’m just not sure there is a great deal out there and JC still has nights where he gives us a huge boost and is kind of a locker room presence that we need. I’d be careful in selling him off just because he’s inefficient… basketball is partly math but not solely math.

There is something to be said about fit, chemistry, and character. And JC checks all those boxes.

The team raved about how good AB and Hood were as lockerroom guys as well. Doesn't mean they can't be traded

Right now JC is a terrible fit. We don't need using so many offensive possessions when we have a plethora of really good efficient offensive players who can create their own shot

Clippers would be the team I would try to get him to with a 3-team deal of some sort. Clippers got a lot of trade chips
