Trade deadline discussion

So if NO is a buyer... they have a large trade exception from the Adams trade. Say you do a straight JC for a second round pick... doesn't even have to be a real second round pick. You've now alleviated a huge amount of the luxury tax pressure this year and next. You can sell it as savings/flexibility but also that you want to see what you have in JB. Mights set us up for another move.

Super unsexy but when you figure it saves us infinity dollars and NO only pays half of JC's contract this year to get an offensive upgrade... I think they would bite.
I didn't get to see the previous game against PHC, but if you want to move Clarkson, you should look for a somewhat mediocre team who needs a volume scorer and can give him a much bigger role, because that's basically what happened. that game with all the starters out.
NO might actually be a good fit for that.

NOLA gets Clarkson
Boston gets Satoransky, 2nds and savings
Jazz get Smart

Knicks might be open to moving Randle. He'd be interesting for the Jazz as a point-forward. Can run pick-and-roll. Rebounds. Not really much of a defender.

If we stand pat at the deadline, I think I may just not watch another game until the playoffs.

Every game is the same: surrender a big lead, claw back and hang tough and like Lucy with the football, pull that bitch out when you think you might have a shot.

It’s exhausting, perplexing and has to be fixed.

I'm afraid if he rebounds at the forward position he won't fit our culture.

He had good chemistry with Mitchell at the All Star game last year. If he's your third or fourth option, it might work. Jazz need a big wing who can get in the middle of the floor and create. Jazz would space the floor for him.

To me, that's a much more interesting move than Robert Covington.

That contract would be an albatross if he doesn't bounce back.
