Trade deadline discussion

He's even better in the postseason, but in the regular season, it's damn close.

He's top 10 in the NBA in scoring
5+ assists per game despite not being the PG
Top 6 in the NBA for guards scoring in the paint

I'm trying to think of the 10 players better offensively
Jokic, Durant, Curry, Embiid, Trae, Doncic, LeBron, Giannis, Harden are a tier above.

Then you got Morant, Lavine, Booker, Tatum and Mitchell competing.

Anyone who has watched Trent Forrest guard Steph Curry and CP3 in the past couple of weeks should realize that he's a really solid perimeter defender. Picking up a Torey Craig or even Derrick White wouldn't have been a defensive upgrade.

If the Jazz were going to get Lu Dort or Marcus Smart, then okay, but those deals probably weren't available.

Lots of fun riding this thread the last few weeks fellas. I'm sad that dumping Joe and 2nd rounders so we can save money and add a project is all we ended up doing.

I still have hope we can make a miracle happen this postseason. I'm officially on a break.

Go Jazz

With Forrest breaking out in front of our very own eyes, I don't think we need any more perimeter players than we already have. Conley, Forrest and a locked-in DM are solid defensively for the perimeter, like what we saw last night against the Warriors. What we need is more defense at the 3/4 spot to cover the help defense in the middle and provide some much needed secondary rim protection.

This seasons success may depend entirely upon Forrest's development and NAW's ability to handle the SF minutes

Forrest has been playing great, but is Quin ever going to play him over JC? I don't think he is. And if he is...how many minutes are we talking. 3-6 minutes if we're being realistic. Before anyone says anything, yes it does matter even if you can improve one possession. But we have to admit that the Jazz issues are much larger than that.

It's not going to change the larger outlook of the team. The Jazz were destroyed defensively when their best players were on the court. That's the type of problem the Jazz had, not a 3-6 minute problem.

Very surprised the Thunder didn't use their cap space. Really good day to be a current Thunder player. Your salary just increased substantially.
