If both were available, would you take either Tobias Harris or Harrison Barnes for Bogey? Both have been rumored to be available. Neither are defensive specialists by any means. StatMuse has Harris's defensive rating at a 108 and Barnes as a 119 (Bojan is a 112). They are both good shooters, though not as a good as Bogey. Harris historically was a 40%+ shooter though has not been so in Philly and has been especially bad this year. Both are three years younger, an inch taller, and have much better rebounding numbers. Harris has that massive contract with two years left after this one. Barnes has a very similar contract to Bogey.
I think Barnes is marginally better than Bogey, but am not sure he is enough of an upgrade to attach whatever pick might be necessary to convince the Kings to make the deal. Harris is a little interesting as I could foresee a scenario where the Jazz got involved in a 3-team trade that moved Simmons to another team and routed Harris to us. That Jazz would have to send out Ingles/Clarkson with Bogey to match salary, but could potentially get Harris by helping facilitate a Simmons trade without having to give up a draft pick.
Neither player would be enough, but one of those guys plus an upgrade for Clarkson could be a step in the right direction.
