Why LAL does it:
-Upgrade at PG
-Get a cheaper PF who could play well next to Bynum
-Get a volume scorer off the bench
-Get better three point shooters

Why UTA does it:
-Upgrade at PG
-Allows more mins for the youth
-Clear cap space via cutting Walton
-Get a great draft pick in a deep draft
-Stuckey is cheaper than Harris and he's better than him

Why DET does it:
-Get rid of Ben Gordons contract
-Finally land an all-star in Pau
-Pau and Monroe would be a very good combo with Knight at PG
-Get a good draft pick from the Mavs

LAL Starting 5:
PG: Harris
SG: Kobe
SF: Artest
PF: Millsap
C: Bynum
6th man: Gordon

UTA Starting 5:
PG: Stuckey
SG: Burks
SF: Hayward
PF: Favors
C: Jefferson

That actually is not a bad sounding trade. Will it happen? No, but it is probably your best trade yet.
 
Big Al for Chris Kaman and two second rounders
Harris for an expiring (Hinrich if possible)
CJ for anything (or nothing) that's not salary
Bell for anything (or nothing) that's not salary
Josh Howard for protected first rounder or maybe second rounderish

Make up the rest by signing Collins, Araujo, and any DLeague guys.

We would come out of the season with the same record and perhaps a more energized fan base.
 
-Someone (Harris, Bell, and/or Miles) to the Pacers and bringing nothing back (unless they want to give us some kind of crappy picks).
-Josh Howard to the Bulls and somehow getting Jimmy Butler (salaries don't quite match).
-Jefferson for Bogut (I know he's constantly injured, but since Favors and Kanter can't get any minutes otherwise, might as well use reality to your advantage [The Bucks are a dramatically better defensive team with Bogut, who is or has been one of the best defensive players - at the most important defensive position - in the NBA]).

Greg will throw in a car dealership, Harpring will throw in fry sauce, and I'll personally throw in some salt water taffy.

I'm all for a Jefferson/Miles for Maggette/Diaw #1 Charlotte (probably want to keep this year's pick, maybe get unprotected '13? top-3 protected?) and #1 Portland (top 12 protected in the 2013 draft, top 12 protected in 2014, top 12 protected in 2015, and unprotected in the 2016 Draft).

Don't know if Charlotte would bite on that, though. Doubt it, actually.

Would love to see this (realistic) trade:

LAC Receives: Josh Howard + Raja Bell
UTA Receives: Eric Bledsoe + Ryan Gomes

We eat the next year & a half of Ryan's $4M/yr deal, but we'd be dealing with Raja's at $3.2 for the same duration. We get the best player in the deal, a young 22 year old point guard that can hopefully supplant Devin Harris in the starting line-up sometime next season. The Clips get their "big" 2 guard in Raja Bell, as well as another vet in Howard to make a playoff push.
