The Jazz have done due diligence on Ty Lawson though and it seems like they are happy with his off court issues.

Yes. And the BIGGEST part of this is Houston is $3.6M OVER the tax line. There's huge motivation for making a trade to drop below the line. Outside of Lawson, I don't really see another player or combination of players they might want give up for $3.6M or more. Pick would probably be lottery-protected for 2017, then top-10, etc. if not conveyed. It will have conditions, but I think Lawson is worth a shot...if a pick is coming our way.

Edit: Pick swap would also be ok (or 2018 pick). But I like the pic swap for 2017 better. Gives Utah better ammo in a deep draft.

I know I'm late, but Jesus dude, do you really have so little faith in our players? Lawson is just going to destroy everything we've built?

I LOVE the risk/reward scenario here. And an extra first rounder out of the deal? Hell yea.

lllolololollollololooo!!!!!! Not going to happen. Lover Boy is crazy. I'm just sitting at my desk relaxing through the end of a nice quiet uneventful trade deadline. Gotta love it baby!!!!!

I remember hearing something like "once you hear the rumor, the talks are usually over" so the fact that nothing is done and we are now hearing about it, I have to say it probably wont get done.
 
People constantly have career revivals after being traded. Lawson may thrive here.
