trade devin harris, start jamal tinsley

Wisdom, common sense, you know--things you lack.
Wanting the coach to correctly utilize a player's talents is not the same thing as wanting the team built around said player.

Just to play devils advocate here.

If he lacks them then how can he know?

Harris is as better than Tinsley on defense than Tinsley is on offense.
Give or take.

I actually agree with that. I just wanted to re-open this thread. Tinsleys D is kind of soft. But we should use him in certain situations. Maybe his D would get better over time too

Tinsley couldn't guard a chair out there. But he made things happen for teammates like no one else has this year. And yes, that includes Watson.

Actually, I wish the Jazz would trade Harris to an actual contender.
Jazz have some nice pieces, but the pieces don't fit together and the head coach is an idiot.
Let Devin be Devin and get him some complimentary players so he can compete for a championship or trade him someplace that can.
If Jazz just want a good draft pick, then Tinsley is your man.

....I agree....that heaven harris is smoking, snorting, shooting some SERIOUS dope!

You have to love homer fans. Who actually is preventing Harris from pushing the ball? So is it Ty's fault that Harris walks the ball up court most of the time. Is it his fault that he can't run a half court set or make his FTs? Harris is a SG trapped in a PG's body. He keeps getting traded because teams find it out once he is on a team that he cannot be the guy. He will never guide a team to a championship and is overpaid for what he brings to the table.

Harris is like a lot of NBA, they have success early and then they don't really change or grow their game. He is basically the same player he was when he came into the league except he isn't as quick. I think Harris is an ok player but he shouldn't be the starting PG on a championship level team (not that the Jazz are at that level).

Tinsley is a solid back-up; we know at least we can count on him if need be. His D is weak, but you have to consider he was guarding Curry which is no easy task. DWill has had problems guarding him too.

Agreed: Harris main value was his speed. That does not last and seems to be fading. And he is not a very good SG either, although maybe better that than a PG.

....whenever his contract is up....he'll be out of the league. But then again, this is the NBA where former McDonald's workers and YMCA clowns can be gainfully employed!

CJ, that was a very ignorant comment. Did you see the game last night? Tinsley is no McLeod or Palacio and Jason Fart. While he does have defensive liabilities, these might improve with more playing time.

I really wish KOC would do whatever necessary to get Curry. We're a stud PG away from being a top 4 team in the west. Curry would fill that slot and give us a dead-eye outside shooter.

We'd have to take back Biedrins in the process, but I'd gladly do it to get Steph.
