Trade for Zach Lavine

I'm really just beside myself that me, PGAB, and maybe couple others are the only people on this board who see his potential. It's not like we are going out on a limb here. It's pretty easy to see. He has freakish athleticism. He can shoot the ball with range. He has good handles, he can pass the ball. His only weaknesses are that he needs to work on his defense and turnovers a little. But he's only 20 years old. Normally people would give a young player a pass, especially with all that going for them.

I really can't figure out why people don't like his upside.

I think Lavine can develop into a nice player.
I agree with these.

I think that some of the people arguing against getting lavine actually might want to have him on the jazz but they just don't want to agree with hack because they don't like him

Most of ya'll would probally sit here and tell me Hood is the better player in the future..lol..... This kid is going be a good one, with that said you better make it a nice trade or Minny is going laugh a t you... Trade Exum, He is injury prone soft foreign player...

LaVine for Burks straight up, what do the Wolves say?

Are they hanging up right away ,or entertaining a counter offer w/ added picks?

Why is Exum being foreign relevant?

Let it be known that I am a Lavine supporter and think he has the tools to be an All-Star.

I think they got a good idea who Lavine is. They'd hang up the phone. They would want more I believe.

Once upon a time posters here used to argue against LaVine because I was vouching for him, and because Draftexpress certainly wasn't... I called them out way bakc when they had him ranked #72 of all the freshman that season and they stayed low on him, had him as a fringe 1st round pick up until the very end..(when they finalize their draft after wading thru weeks of smokescreens/rumors).

He was too skinny and not as good of a prospect as his UCLA teammate Jordan Adams IIRC. He was also immature for the way he left UCLA (complaining that the coaches son was starting over him), when he originally committed to Ben Howland, who got fired..

has there ever been a guard in Jazz history as athletic as Zach LaVine? He'd be a big hit almost anywhere he'd get traded to.

I'd also be down for packaging players/picks for Brad Beal. Maybe Washington is willing to move on from him due to the injuries.

and yet the question remains: why the hell is Minnesota trading a young player with upside? He fits within their development project along with every other young player they have, and there's no reason to think they can't retain all of them. This is a stupid thread.

also, spy, I'm surprised you'd take him over Hood. Massive difference in IQ between them.
