Burke would change our entire team dynamic. Who's the last PG who has been so level-headed, and commanding of his team?

He reminds me of PGs like Rondo, Paul. Point guards who direct their team.

That's the one definitive thing that Burke has-- more so than any other player in this draft in my opinion. He's the best leader.

I'd be willing to take Marion for Dallas' pick then be prepared to send out all three picks for Burke, if necessary.

I think we could acquire #7 if we traded 14 for 10 + Joel Freeland, then sent 10 and 21. I doubt 14 and 21 moves you up seven spots.

I'd love Burke, even though I am not convinced his ceiling is really all that high. He could come in and play immediately and to me, he's the safest pick in the draft. We already know he'll be good, just probably not an all-star level player.

Maybe he doesn't pan out(or McCollum/Schoeder end up with better careers), but you have to love adding a talented warrior to your squad at a position of need.

This. At worst you get a guard who can't finish too well, isn't an elite passer-- but is a good shooter, and a great leader.

You always need players like that to build championship teams. I don't see him dropping out of the league after 3-5 years.

Yep agreed.

Above all his skills, his passing, dribbling, running plays, etc, John Stockton was a great person and a great leader.

He didn't talk much but he led by example. He had that quiet confidence in him and you'll never see him shout at or blame his teammates. But at the same time he isn't "soft". He'll do whatever's in the best interest for the team 100% of the time.

That's exactly who Burke is as well.

How can you put a price on having a guy like that on your team?

The Burke hype to me doesn't make sence. All I hear is that Larkin will only be a backup pg becaus he's too small, but then I look at Burke and he's a top 5-8 pick. Burke is not much bigger and far less athletic and quick. In this draft if Burke is really as good as everyone says I'd think he'd be competing for the top pick in the draft. I do think he has better pg skills then Larkin, but also feel Larkin is every bit the leader Burke is and has that same it factor. Just makes me wonder If Burke should be considered that much of a better prospect then Larkin.

Burke is bigger, much longer (which is more important), a much better passer and leader (imo), finishes around the rim better, and can actually get to the FT line.

Sorry that's too much for me..

Not for me. I think it's much more important to secure the needed foundational players rather than having an excess of good role players. Of we landed Burke, then all we'd need is a scorer and, since everyone else is well-rounded, it wouldn't even matter if they were one-dimensional. It could be a Kevin Martin or Danny Granger. The rest can be built around with role players in free agency. This draft is Burke/Shabazz or bust. I'd give up any combination of any asset, draft rights, players, or future draft picks, or anyone not named Kanter, Favors or Hayward, to land Burke. May sound extreme, but it's time to cash in the chips.

I would trade #14 + #21 for #7...

...or #8

...or trade #14 + #21 + #46 for #9 + #26

The opportunity to get a player like Burke, McCollum, or Bennett would be too good to pass up.

Burke is a much better prospect than Schroeder right now.

But would you do #13, #14 AND #21 for Burke?

That's the question we're looking at right now... I say it's too much.
