Trade idea + new depth chart

Alright, I think this might be the first of such threads that I've done, so bear with me.

It's been bloody obvious that the starting lineup needed to be changed for at least 10-12 games. The coaching staff has had plenty of time to analyze its rotation. I've already come out in support of moving AK and Bell to the bench for Hayward and CJ. I stand by that now. But, the longer these woes continue, the more drastic are the changes that I call for. For example, I can see the argument for moving Millsap to the bench. Clearly, he should still get starter minutes. Also, this team needs a shake up; get AK out of town (I've supported his staying through the season until recently).

Here is a trade scenario: (now before you shred me, realize that it is rumored that MJ will trade Wallace if he receives ONLY expiring deals. New Jersey would be interested because they are trying to clear cap space for a big free agent acquisition).

Utah trades: AK, rights to Tomic, pick(s)
Utah receives: Gerald Wallace, Anthony Morrow

New Jersey trades: Anthony Morrow, Troy Murphy
New Jersey receives: AK (expiring), Utah pick

Charlotte trades: Gerald Wallace
Charlotte receives: rights to Tomic, Troy Murphy (expiring)

BOOYAH!

I like your trade. However we all know Bell will not only play over Hayward, but probably Morrow as well.

Decent trade for Utah & NJ but a bit thin for Charlotte. Would they really surrender their only all-star player for an expiring & Tomic?

The rumor has been that he is available. Expiring + Tomic + Utah pick (if necessary). Those have value. It is, after all, the Bobcats.

Good thought out trade. If we could pull it of I would do it in a second. Considering that NJ and the Bobcats are really shopping Murphy and Wallace hard they might go for such a trade. But Utah definitely wins this trade. And I don't see the Bobcats dropping Wallace for just that.

Morrow is not the answer at SG & Wallace, who is having a shtty year, is as injury-prone as AK.
Pass, especially considering Tomic will be Memo's replacement once his contract expires & this just seems like a trade, just to make a trade.

I can't wait for someone to fill Memo's shoes! That'll just put us over the top....... you know......... when someone replaces our BACKUP center.

If you can't get behind this trade, then I'm assuming you are one conservative hombre. . . I think this is too good to be true, actually.

Really quite thought out. It seems like a lot of parties and pieces to materialize specifically, but you've done your homework. However, I don't know what pick(s) the Jazz would send, and I'd rather they not send any in the event that this experiment turns into a colossal wreck.

There is no trade to get behind! Calm your *** down

Booyah!!

Man, this trade idea really would have put over the hump.

Gerald Wallace! Yeah! Anthony Morrow! Yeah!

decent idea at the time. I stand behind it. Wallace was a legit piece at the time. Morrow still has value today.

Hey guis, just Remember that when NAOS tries to talk down to you and thinks he's smarter than you, there 100's, literally 100's of bad ideas he's put out there in the past. They are really easy to find. Just grab that mirror, and give him a look.

If I had a nickel for every bad idea NAOS has had, well then...you know the rest.

Yeah, but this would've been a really good trade (for the Jazz, at least), so... uhhh... K.

I don't understand why Hack thinks getting Morrow for nothing was a laughable idea.

Well he did include "pick(s)". I think losing picks for an overpaid Wallace would be a bad thing.

What was the pick at that time? Somewhere in the teens? So Morrow and serviceable 2011 Gerald Wallace (14 pts 7 rbs at that time) for a pick. You can argue whether that is a good deal for Utah, but Hack is bumping a 5 year old thread as if it is just laughable.
