Trade idea to capitalize off the Meltdown of the Dallas Mavericks

Ok. My sources are reporting that DeAndre Jordan may break off his deal with Mavericks and go back to the Clippers.

Mark Cuban has said that if they didn't get Jordan in free agency then they might tank. Said it on the Colin Cowherd show I believe.

So let's go get Parsons and/or Dirk

Be willing to throw in the GS pick, the OKC pick, Trey Lyles, Trey Burke, and Booker, and some 2nd round picks.

As far as salaries, we may have to swap out Burks with something to get Dirk.

Exum
Hayward
Chandler
Favors/Dirk
Gobert/Dirk

Or don't get Dirk, or flip him for something, or dont. Whatever

Thread and idea sucks?

Ok, shut it down.

I would give anything to see Dirk in a Jazz uniform.

Not because I'd love to have him, but because he hates Utah fans so much.

The fact that this puts Dallas playoff chances in jeopardy is good enough. Thanks DJ! You ****ing moron.

I could see something like

Jazz sends
Trey Burke, and Trevor Booker

Mavs sends
Dirk Nowitzki, and Devin Harris

Hornets sends
Cody Zellers, Marvin Williams, and PJ Hairston

Jazz receives
M. Williams and D. Harris

Mavs receives
C. Zellers, T. Burke, T. Booker, and PJ Hairston

Hornets receives
D. Nowitzki

Jazz do it to bring back Williams to space the floor off the bench this time and to get veteran PG to back up and mentor Exum.

Mavs do it to send Dirk to a team that's in the East, but can be a title contender with his services. They receive assets on rookie contracts.

Hornets do it to become instant contenders in a weaken EC.

If the Jazz make any deal with the Mavs, they'd better get Dirk. That's why there won't be a deal. Nothing to see here. Move along.

If Dirk gets traded it will be because Cuban decided it was best for him go to a contender team.. As a way to thank him.

Does Parsons and Dirk win us a championship or waste future assets for 4 extra wins now?

Dude it might be 5 or 6 wins, gotta think positive.

You go after a guy like Nowitzki because you're planning to make the playoffs and you want a champion on your team when you get there. That's when his value shows most.

Same reason to take a long, hard look at Joakim Noah (who's contract expires next year.) A big man rotation of Gobert, Favors, Noah and Booker would be intense. That's a deal that I'd consider. Pretty sure Noah gets traded before the trade deadline.

Marvin Williams and Harris?

2012 nightmare??

This is a completely different team and their respective roles would have changed greatly. What you have is a young developing team that needs veteran leadership from role players. Williams skillset on paper is what many of the Jazz faithful said they need a stretch 4. While Harris provides a solid PG off the bench that can aid Exum's development and provide insurance if he doesn't come along as quickly as the team needs him. In exchange for Booker who's on his last year and Burke whom still needs his own space to continue to develop.

Parsons doesnt really bring anything to our team. We already have Hayward, the shooting of Hood or the attacking of Burks is more complimentary than the all-around game Parsons brings.

Giddy as a ****ing kid about this.
