Trade Partners for TB

A second round pick mid to late is all we can expect, preferably send him East.
Agree with previous poster Nets might be a partner

Burke is probably not a starter but I think he will be a decent backup pg that is a score first, high energy, vocal bench leader, who plays decent defense and needs to be guarded closely since he can score in a variety of ways.

Well you can't really be score first when you're TS% is 45% and Burke has never been a high energy defender. In fact after the trade deadline I'd say he was probably the least active defender on the team last year.

While the idea of watching The Jazz give away their second top 10 draft pick from the last 4 years makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit I'm not sure what options The Jazz have right now other than to go into the season with Exum/Burke/Cotton at the PG with Neto getting all the minutes he can in the D-League. If Burke doesn't show marked improvement I think he's a castaway at the trade deadline.

The only way I see us trading Burke right now is if he is packaged as part of a larger transaction. There just isn't that much demand for his services(unless you count the Porn Actors Guild).

According to Lindsey, the Jazz will have "absolutely" no problem carrying. 4 PG's on the roster:

Ultimately, Jazz officials believe each player in their stable of point guards offers a different level of skills that should help complement different lineup options going forward. And Lindsey said the team "absolutely" could carry four point guards next season.

"We're not going to rule out anything relative to our roster," he said. "… We're still at the stage where we want to get and keep guys who are highly motivated."

This sounds like the best answer to where we stand right now on the Burke situation. Guess this means they will definitely keep Cotton whether or not Burke remains on the team. But the fact that we are keeping two other backups for Exum tells you all need to know about the FO's opinion of Burke.

Its very unlikely he wont improve his efficiency. PGs almost always improve their efficiency their third NBA season. Also like you said we have a better bench where he wont be required to score as much. He has shown the ability to pass more and is able to facilitate when there are players around him that are capable scorers. He was asked to score and shoot a lot last season. There was a bunch of D-league talent around him coming off the bench, I think he did what he was asked to do, shoot a lot. He also played good defense at the end of last season. There is 0 reason to believe he wont continue to play good defense like he did the end of last season. If you see 0 NBA starting skills in him then we should try and buy him out and move on. Clearly the Jazz FO and coaching staff see more in him than you do and I think you greatly undervalue him.

Its funny how a player I didnt like when we drafted him, never wanted him and still dont want, I have to stick up for on this board since he is so hated and undervalued here. But this board needs a bad guy on their team. We have to hate 1 player to the point of going over the top.

Please tell me when he has shown the ability to pass more? Or to facilitate when there are better players around him? I'm convinced that the biggest reason he was benched is because of his inability or unwillingness to do either of those 2 things. Hayward improved when Trey was benched, that was not a coincidence.
.
For the record I would be fine if the Jazz bought him out and moved on. I think Cotton is as good if not better. Cotton right now is doing stuff in summer league that Trey Burke never did.
.
I wanted Burke, was happy we got him. But I was wrong, he's just not a good NBA player. He hurts your team while on the court more than he contributes.
.
Also he'd have to improve his efficiency dramatically to be an average NBA backup. I just don't see it.
