I’m guessing Beasley Vando may be a better fit if they get Conley… I also think everything they do will be win now but also leave the door open for a sign and trade of a free agent… a certain one that just went to Dallas. So having the option on Beasley versus JC as a free agent may be ideal for sign and trade purposes… they can repackage Mike/Malik for Kyrie when it doesn’t work out in Dallas. They shouldn’t… but you can use Beasley in a trade or just keep him… JC may be harder to use in a sign and trade. I think the deal keeps some options open and Jc isn’t under team control… I think it’s fair… I just think if they stand pat it’s malpractice.

That would keep us under the tax by $300k or so from my calculations, but since you can't (I think) combine TPE and a player, I guess it wouldn't work without a third party. Can you have a three-team trade where we give Dok to someone, TPE to GSW and take Wiseman? Then GSW offers some 2nd rounders to the third team. Guess not.. Also not that interested in Wiseman, to be honest.

They only gave up 3 second round picks, so if means having the space to sign Kyrie, yes they're probably going to let him walk.
