Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Not to be disparaging but they're all a bunch of crap, aside from maybe Butler. Don't think there's a quality future starter in the bunch.
And to be honest, Butler doesn’t interest me all that much because they traded out of the first round to take him, which means he’s only under team control for two seasons instead of 4. Now they’ll have to pay him too early to know what they have. IMO - I might just let Butler hit RFA and see what market (if any) he has then.

RJ Barret averaged 25-6-4 post-all star break. Granted the shooting numbers werent great, but he averaged 8 FTA per game.

He's a 6'6 guard who can be a primary ball-handler.

He had a 46 point game vs Miami where he got 22 FTA's.

Him being the 3rd overall pick works against him more than it works for him because people are disappointed with where he is at relative to his draft position.

The best players on his team around him were Julius Randle (everyone hates him), Evan Fournier (he's a bench player on most playoff teams), and Alec Burks (lmao).

Only 22 years old, just turned 22 in June.

He;s also been playing for Coach Thibs, who isnt exactly an offensive genius.
What good does 8FTA do if he can't hit his damn FT to save his life? The guy is a 69% career FT shooter and shot 71% from the line last year.

Hitting FTs is the basic fundamental for a great shooter/scorer but the guy simply doesn't have it. In fact his 40%/34%/71% shooting split last him nets him a true shooting % of 51.1%, worse than Westbrook(51.2%). If we trade DM we gotta do better than RJ Barrett. The guys a chucker and I'm not confident in his ability to take a team forward.

Lmao, yeah 70% is so bad he should stop attempting FTs

NBA's average FT % is about 73% so yeah if you are below leagues average you should strop cuz the more you shoot the more you hurt the team. Where's your favourite win share/BPM/net ratings this time? Just look up Barrett why don't you

Do you understand the average of 70% makes a FT trip way more efficient than a normal possession?

The Knicks average 1.4 points per possession when Barrett goes to the line.

The best offense in NBA history doesn't come close to 1.4 points per possession.

More like 1.38 cuz Barret is 69% career FT shooter, whereas ANY team would average 1.46 when ANY average player goes to the line.

So yeah I'm sure Knicks would rather take any average guy to the line before Barrett cuz they are basically -0.08 pts per possession with Barrett doing it. Like if there's a technical free throw would you ask Barrett to do it or 82% FT shooter Burks to do it? Exactly

Do you understand a normal possession is not equivalent to a trip to the FT stripe? Your point only stands when every Knicks offensive possession results in RJ Barrett going to the FT line. He's not a bad enough FT shooter to warrant hack-a-RJ strategy and that's about as far as you can go with that argument.

You honestly have no clue what you're saying.

You're arguing just to argue.
