Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Once Rudy was traded, it wouldn’t surprise me if Mitchell stated a trade preference to the team. He’d damage his brand and decrease the Jazz’s chances of getting the pick haul needed to actually trade him had he publically demanded, because he has no leverage.

It also doesn’t hurt that Don’s hometown team happened to be the team with the best trove of picks and young players. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if there’s an understanding that “we’ll get you to Miami or NY in exchange for a young guy or two, a haul of picks, and some bad salary, leaving the the team we’re trading you to to still be competitive, but you gotta be quiet and not put the stink of a trade request on us.”

Tell that to the jom2003 from an hour ago:
Trent Forest can drop 40 if he gets to take 40 shots a game. But is that good for your offense?

For Barrett to take more FTs, it would require more possessions, which means less possessions for other players with better %s. It'd take Barrett 3 possessions to score 4 pts from FT whereas it only takes Poole 2.

Numbers of possessions/shots isn't infinite in a basketball game. The more shots one player takes will result in less shots for other players, which is why you would want the best shot from your best shooter with the highest %.

Not hard.

If there's infinite number of possessions/shots available, then yeah. Go shoot as many as you's like. The more shots anybody take, the more pts that person is gonna score.

Trent Forest can drop 40 if he gets to take 40 shots a game. But since there is only finite number of possessions in a game, is that good for your offense?
Yeah, you show that strawman who's boss.

The good point if we got Barett and JC is that the other players will have plenty of times for the defense part as they won't see much the ball :)
