Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Would you rather have Hunter or Huerter coming back if you had to choose?
this is a cop out but it depends on the extension price. If it is reasonable then Hunter (though I am not a big fan). If he wants $20M+ I'll take Huerter.

If I am Atlanta I think the most I do is Clint, JC, and 16...

If I am Chicago I'd do Vuc, Williams, 19, future first, White and very likely Ayo too.

I prefer the Chicago package of those two.

What the teams actually offer will vary greatly from what I would do obviously.
You really think Chicago would offer that much?

Hunter all day every day, there's a reason the Hawks have been reluctant to move Hunter but have shopped Huerter multiple times.

Huerter is what he is at this point a 12 ppg guy that's an average secondary creator, below average defender, without much upside.

Hunter showed his upside in the playoffs averaging 21 ppg on 56% and has the tools to be an All-NBA defender.

Is that Chicago deal better than the Atlanta deal? I don’t think so.
It depends on what your goals are as an organization and how much you believe in Collins. I want to rebuild aggressively so the Capella/JC/#16 doesn't appeal to me very much at all AND that might already be more than they're willing to send. I also think it is a significant red flag that rumors have been out on Collins for years despite his raw production.

I also think Ayo and Williams are the exact types of players that need to be around Donovan from a basketball perspective.

Trading the only good defender the Jazz have, then to build around a guy who's already declining is so stupid. Not to mention Mitchell will demand a trade pretty soon after he realizes the Jazz are trash without Gobert.
You never trade a star for a few fringe starters and end up being championship contenders.

Who’s declining?

Is that due to his talent level or due to the fact that Trae has to be involved with everything?

Collins has been unsettled for a while. Maybe it's because he's like you said. Or maybe it's because he wants to play in a more even system.
Well, I don't think he has shown that he is suitable for more offensive load but you can't be exactly sure and he is still young. There is room for improvement.

Still, there should have been some change after Lloyd Pierce was fired. Collins wanting a bigger role was one of the reasons for it too.

Trae and Mitchell has similar usage rates already. Moving away from Conley will only exacerbate it.

Trae spends 6.30 second per touch. Mitchell is at 5.30 but it's not hard to imagine that will go up if Mitchell moves to the PG.

If we do trade Rudy to the Hawks I think that we will end up as a worse version of the Hawks and Atlanta could become a better version of the Jazz depending on what players they manage to put between Trae and Rudy. I will be looking forward to seeing Trae and Rudy pnr.
