Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I've been a proponent of trade both if you're rebuilding.
Same - and I’m thrilled that it looks like it’s going to happen. They should get whatever they can for Mitchell, Bogy and Conley… and then take on some of these depressed value guys for further draft capital and see if we can’t rehab their value.

So we'd be sending Bojan and 2 picks for Ayton?

Due to the BYC rule, the amount of salary going out to PHX for Ayton would be in Bogdanovic's range. Jazz would likely add at least a pick for him. Indiana was reportedly also interested in Ayton, so there is probably market pressure to increase PHX's return for Ayton.

The bigger question is whether Donovan Mitchell needs to be going back to BRK for the Nets to be willing to move Durant. This person was the one who reported that was being discussed.

The "Flex" guy has been pushing Mitchell to Brooklyn, Durant to Phoenix, and Ayton to Utah.

Personally, I don't think Ainge is that dumb.
It also amazes me how these "insiders" don't even understand basic NBA trade rules like the fact Ben/Don can't be on the same team.

This deal is against the rule because Nets can't have DM and Simmons's contract at the same time

It just gets so convoluted when they'd have to also move off of Simmons who I can't imagine has tremendous trade value right now.

True, but if BRK wants to move KD in the near future and wants Mitchell in the package coming back, they'll move Simmons somewhere in another deal.

I would only want Ayton if DM stays. Doesn't make sense to send two 1sts, assets and pay him if we are going to be the new OK Thunder.

We better not be the team that helps Brooklyn get out of the Ben Simmons fiasco.

It’s so frustrating to see these large market teams box themselves into a corner time and time again while trying to build a super team only to be thrown a lifeline when it fails.
