Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Actually that sort of makes more sense, if they were asking for that package instead of us offering it.

Anyways, I know the guy has known some stuff beforehand so I think the writing on the wall is that we are still negotiating about Collins and neither side has shut it down.
Why would they shut it down. Until the guy is traded or we trade players they would want the doors are always open. If that is what Atlanta offered then great... its similar to them saying they offered Collins for Lauri. I just think it shows how unlikely it is to happen if that is where the teams are - a four first round pick difference... we want 2 firsts and they offered Collins if we give two firsts.

Hawks fans and podcasters are pretty hilarious with the offers they throw out there for their guys... remember they got one protected pick for Huerter who I think had significantly more value than John Collins does... if you get fleeced by the Kings you might want to chill on how optimistic you get in your other trade proposals.

ALL of this.

That's the market and you made a great point with Huerter. Also, the Hawks are in free fall, they dont have the luxury to sit and see if a bluff is called at this point.

John Amaechi once scored 31 points.
And that’s why we ended up with him on our team. So if there’s any history to be learned from that…

Anyway, maybe the Hawks are trying to trade him to NY and trying to “leak” us “offering two picks” as leverage.

So the Suns may be basically closed for business due to the sale and Sarver. The sale won't be completed before the trade deadline. Sarver has no reason to want the Suns to be good... likely a big FU to the fans that kicked him out of ownership (kind of... well in his mind anyway) to let this team die on the vine for a year.

They are also the one with the big tax bill in 12 months... this is one where we just sit and wait.

I would be very surprised if that was the case. Sarver wasn't forced to sell and I'm sure he legitimately likes this team and if they win a title he would probably view it with pride.

His apology when the suspension came out was kind of a "woe is me I made a mistake and now no one will give me forgiveness" type of BS. You might be surprised how petty rich egomaniacs can be. I think if he felt the fanbase and community would continue to support him he never would have sold. He is by all accounts "sophmoric".
