Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Agree with giving him minutes and that his offense had looked good lately, but I don't quite understand the 3pt % comparison. He's hasn't attempted enough to really say anything about yet.

When he gets minutes, he is launching the three. In fact, if we just counted the spell where he is getting regular minutes, that three point percentage probably goes way, way up!

Also, his form is pretty as Hell, like Don's was.

Even though I am firmly in the pro tank camp you guys got me thinking about what win now moves would make sense. If you are going to consider a win now move then I think it needs to be an all in championship type of win now move where we compete this year. Would you do this type of deal and is the end result a championship favorite team over the next 2 years?

Incoming-
Siakam
OG

Outgoing-
Conley
Beasley
THT
Jazz 2023 1st
Wolves 2023 1st
Cavs 2025 1st
Wolves 2025 1st
Cavs 2027 1st
Wolves 2027 1st

C- Kessler, Olynyk
Pf- Siakam, Vandy
Sf- Lauri, NAW
Sg- OG, Ochai
Pg- Clarkson, Sexton

That is some crazy length in the starting lineup and if we wanted to go more perimeter oriented I think a lineup of Lauri, Siakam, OG, Clarkson and Sexton would be pretty devastating.

I think the win-now has a problem in that we would need to add 2 core pieces and somehow get them to jell with the current guys in 30 games.

I like the opportunistic approach where we shortlist enough guys who we think could fit to our core and dont force moves because of a timeline... instead just wait for the right guy to become available. Forcing timelines has never worked, unless you get lucky with instantly getting perfect fits.

1st team level PG and PF (or combo guard and/or combo forward) are my entire bucket list. Sure after we get them we can and will look at the bench more carefully. Want at least one of them to be a legit scoring option (and a plus defender) and the other one to be an elite wing defender.

OG almost fits the bill (elite wing defender but more of a wing than PF/combo F) but unfortunately his contract is just bad for us.

Zero shots last night. ☹️
