So ... Cason Wallace in the draft, maybe Black? (just going off reputation)That's exactly what we we should be focused on finding.

Good thing they didnt elaborate, got to keep his trade value highNot much new from Andy Larsen's interview on ESPN700. Said the Jazz value Beasley's shooting but aren't thrilled with the rest of his game, mainly his defense and shot selection. Said they've also been a little disappointed in Sexton but didn't really elaborate on what parts of his game they've been disappointed with. They would move Mike if the right opportunity comes along.
Said they won't make a trade to make them better this season unless it also makes them better in the future, like John Collins or Dorian Finney Smith. Said having a primary ball handling defender that can also shoot 40% from 3 would be very valuable on the championship contending team the Jazz hope to be in the future.
That is an excellent description of the confirmation bias to which the poster responded. In many ways, it's better to be proven wrong, because you learn more.I’d rather have stats back up what I see rather than dismissing stats because it doesn’t match what I see.

It doesn't alter the bias. What if you aren’t wrong though?
Crazy that this team is down on Sexton but so high on Clarkson. Not much new from Andy Larsen's interview on ESPN700. I mean, we dont know they are that high on Clarkson, the fact just is that Clarkson is more valuable if we re-sign him vs not. Ideally you dont want assets to just walk.Crazy that this team is down on Sexton but so high on Clarkson.
Jazz probably not doing anything until we find out what the Raps are doing. I suspect nothing happens with the Raps and we sell to panicked buyers at the deadline.Covington is apparently available to play today. No immediate Covington for Conley incoming.
I don't think they'd move Mann. I still think its Kennard and expirings plus one of Boston/Preston... and honestly if we don't get the Philly Clips pick swap I'll be pissed.
I think my ideal trade deadline is Mike goes to Clips for Kennard, pick swap, expiring....Beasley goes to Memphis for the worse of the two firsts they own in 2024 (GS or their own) and Danny Green (plus whatever player they want to throw in to match salary).
You get a shooter and maximize pick value that way since it increases the value of the worst 2023 pick we have and gives us a pick in a draft we currently don't have one in. I think its realistic. Throw in a Vando deal if you want somewhere or just keep him.
The talent level is good enough to be average, especially when you realize that Conley is not long for here. If they actually want to consistently win, they need better talent at the position. If the point is just for the point guard to get lots of assists then you are right that the talent level for that isnt fine.
If the point is just to win and play better than the opponent as a team then the talent level is fine.
@Eliza Huge often post stats showing our best lineups. Sexton is in a **** ton of them. Even more than conley. Man sexton played good as a starter this year. It was awesome.

True. I watch him when he check-in and seems not smart at all....I watched Bones tonight… if you think Hardy ain’t got the patience for Sexton… boy I’ll tell ya Bones may not make it through a practice.
Nah, look at advanced stats, unless advanced stats don’t prove your point, in which case use the eye test.I watched Bones tonight… if you think Hardy ain’t got the patience for Sexton… boy I’ll tell ya Bones may not make it through a practice.

Use the one that proves your point and discount the other.
Or parts of each.
Under no circumstances, change your mind. Show no weakness.

They don’t have time to develop him in the consistent 20 mins a night he’s getting in his first 2 years. Why are they trying to trade him if he is such a good prospect?
