Is that a fact or just speculation? The Warriors make so much money if they go deep in the playoffs that should be their focus, making their team better.
 
Warriors must be getting a little desperate esp after the KD trade. It's possible they could potentially even miss the plan in if the Lakers pass them in the standings.

Did you read the tweet I posted? Kristian Winfield clarified that he was told about it in October but these trade discussions happened earlier in the offseason.
