Training Camp Notes

Here’s the lede to Sarah’s article. Getting excited.

LAIE, Hawaii — What if I told you that in addition to being a great scorer who is out to prove he can be an equally great passer, Keyonte George also possesses the gift of super speed?

And, what if I said that his teammates have been impressed after the first few days of training camp with his ability to see the floor and deliver passes? What if there is already a sense from talking to the Jazz players that George is going to be even more exciting this season than we saw during Summer League?

That would all be pretty great, right? Well. I’m telling you that it’s all true. That’s the word coming out of Jazz training camp this week. Keyonte George is the real deal.”

I don't. I know extremely little about him.
His first few years he was arguably the most explosive dunker in the nba. That was when they were using him a lot as a cutter and screen and roll man. Unfortunately once they made the trade for Capela he was forced into more of a spot up shooter role. Hopefully the jazz can get back to utilizing him as a cutter and finisher but I do have my concerns those are also Kessler and Lauri's strengths as well. I could see he and Olynyk being a pretty potent frontcourt duo with Olynyk's spacing and passing ability.

Barely turned 26 years old just last month too.

Locke ain't never played pickup... putting all the 1s together against the 2s won't be competitive and benefit anyone. They will mix and match. This is glorified pickup and the amount of work we are putting in trying to make something out of nothing is hilarious.
Yeah but our first team frontcourt needs to mesh with first team backcourt and real scrimmage time serves this purpose.

I would love nothing more than Key to end the season as the starter, but I will be floored if it’s not JC to start the season.
They’re going to pin down Jc as sixth man so that when key is ready to start Jc does not get demoted. Gives more stability.

Just my guess

Sarah showing her casual doe... saying she doesn't remember JC being this strong or springy... it’s kinda his thing. Theres a reason he is John the Baptist!
Just because he was springy doesn’t mean he can’t be springier.

I wouldn’t call Jc particularly strong.
