Trevor Booker - Derrick Favors

This duo ever played together so far in the preseason? Both are pretty good defenders albeit a bit undersized for their positions. But they look compatible to me offensively. Spacing should be fine. Don't get mislead by Booker bricking shots recently. Long-term stats tell Booker has a reliable mid-range jumper. See this.

Good pick up by the Jazz, he is a solid NBA player. Washington Knuckleheads were a terrible team, he will perform better in Utah.

What do you think, Favors and Bookers can play together? How would you like this lineup: Trey - Burks - Hayward - Booker - Favors

Yes. And I might even consider Trey-Hayward-Hood-Booker-Favors. I'd like to have Exum, Burks, Booker and Gobert off the bench. Hood is first man out midway through the 1st period (replaced by Burks, with Hayward sliding to SF). When Gordon comes out at the quarter break, bring back Hood.

The one argument I'd have for NOT starting Booker is that I want him to return to the Jazz as a backup. Sell him on the idea of being a great 6th man. Then bring in a starting stretch-4 to replace Kanter this summer.

Booker starting and Coming off the bench... Man DL is a genius!!!

Said I'd consider Booker starting. Then went on to say why I'd argue for Booker NOT to start. Yep, a little unclear on my post. Probably should have switched some sentences around. It's just a good thing my post isn't being graded!

Why hasn't Booker been playing much the last couple of games? I guess his confrontation with Griffin probably had something to do with him sitting afterwards in the Clipper game, but he got a DNP in the last game.

I think you'll see a lot more Gobert/Favors over Booker/Favors.

Especially end of games - Burke/Burks/Hayward/Favors/Gobert. Could be an exciting group. Although could be a liability if you're playing against a true stretch 4.

Gobert must find a way to stay out of foul trouble. He can't finish games if he has 4 or 5 fouls on him with 5 minutes left.

I think you should know that the Jazz were an infinitely worse team than the Wizards last year.

Only last year they started looking good. Trevor played there four years with the infamous group of knuckleheads; McGee, Nick Young, Andre Blatche, you name it!
There is another thing. I've been watching the NBA without rooting for a certain team for some time now. I know the difference between clubs like the Utah Jazz and the Washington Wizards.

Yes, the TV guys announced that he had sprained his ankle as part of the altercation with Griffin. (In the aftermath of the altercation, I think they said.)
