Trey Burke/Chris Paul

How did Chris Paul do when he competed for the National Championship? Waiting...waiting...

no national championship for chris paul

did chris paul have any lottery picks on his teams?

Glenn Robinson III and Mitch McGary are projected lotto picks(by some prognosticators) in a strong draft, and Tim Hardaway Jr went in the 1st (as i have been saying since i started speaking on Hardaway JR)

a national champion chris paul is not

starting pg on a gold medal squad, yup

all-star MVP, yup

you dreamers out there, keep dreaming. trey burke is great, do not compare him to one of the all time greats

those are shoes he cannot fill

I don't think any of us are saying Trey Burke will be as good Chris Paul. All we are saying is this "look, Chris Paul had really good stats in certain areas in college. Trey Burke also had great stats in many of these same areas. That is a good sign." Next you come on here comparing Chris Paul's NBA STATS to Trey Burke's NCAA STATS which is one of the most full retard things I've seen someone do on these forums which is pretty considerable since AKMVP and Siro are on these boards too.

People like Pointgod alec are really comparing someones 8 year NBA career with someones 2 year NCAA career while the rest of us are trying to be more logical and using both of their college careers for comparison. If you compare both of their college careers I think the analysis I gave is very fair.

In passing Trey was as good as Chris Paul. In shooting and defense Trey was slightly worse.

actually your generalizing, and putting words in my mouth... quote me next time.

you keep saying his passing is as good as chris pauls, so im guessing you think MCW's passing is superior to both?

how is Trey Burke a better passer than MCW?

care to project Trey Burkes stats for us?

forward thinking, stop living in the past.

what has trey burke done to convince you that his passing will translate to the NBA's as Pauls had

Paul has established himself since 2005 to be an Elite Passer

do you qualify Trey burke as an Elite passer?

do elite passers have more turnovers than assists in their biggest games?

actually you compared Trey Burkes passing favorably to CP3's and have presented no evidence to support your argument, in a forward looking sense, your concern is only whats in the rearview mirror

instead you condense what the forum feels and pass that off as fact

whos the retard again?

retarded iq is 50-69, mines triple that plus some...

do you see trey burke making Team USA?

making the all star game?

leading the league in assists?

leading the league in steals?

great... now tell me WHY, or stop nitpicking

cp3 averages 9.8 assists per game, for his career, only surpassed by Magic and Stockton all time

you think Burke (who had more turnovers than assists in the national championship) is on his level of playmaking ability? seriously?

also Cp3's carreer AST/TO ratio is 4:1

even in college Burkes was 3:1, who knows what it will be in the NBA

but to say it will be on par with CP3's is basically saying Burke should have went #1 overall

You wanted me to quote you comparing CP3's NBA stats with Trey Burke's NCAA stats. I've already done this but since you insist I am doing it again. Trey Burkes AST/TO ratio in final year of college was better than CP3's.

You are such a condescend brand of sour milk.

If Trey Burke ends up being comparable to Chris Paul in the NBA then the Jazz just won this draft in a landslide. My gut feeling is that Trey can realistically be a borderline all-star for 10 years. He could be better, but at his worst I think he'd make an exceptional backup.

I would be happy with a Kemba Walker personally. That is all we need if Enes Kanter reaches his potential (which I believe is a taller Kevin Love with better defense) or Derrick Favors reaches his.

i would venture to say that burke is a better assist man than MCW...

dude barely had more assists (+0.6, or 9% more) while turning the ball over way more (+1.2, or 35.3% more). TB ast/to: 3.04; MCW ast/to: 2.1

only 9% more assists while turning it over 35% more? make all the assists you want, but if you can't stop giving it to the other team, you aren't much of an assist man.
