I've always thought that comparing every undersized guard to Chris Paul, is just as bad as comparing every white shooter to Larry Bird.

It was pretty polarized.

Some didn't like Paul's size, skipping out on us, and overall d-baggery (like when he punched that NC State player in the groin).
Some didn't like Duron's shot, lack of quickness (fatness. He wasn't in great shape in college), and overall potential.

Some loved Paul's quickness, ability to create, and steals. Some loved Duron's size and passing.

It was split 50/50 if I remember right.

And then there was one dude that wanted Jarret Jack...

That Michigan team is still weird as ****. They were a great team, but every NBA talent they had was a bust.

I guess Mitch McGary has looked OK in limited minutes, but that's about it.

True but he still can't possibly be classified as a bad pick for the Knicks, they were able to trade him for a much higher pick in a better draft a few years later. You could argue that ATL let them off the hook, but it just is what it is.
