What's new

Trey Burke is my new whipping boy

If there anyone here that thinks that Trey Burke REALLY is our point guard of the future? He's a high volume shooter with a dismal %. If you guys are saying, "well... he's getting more assists", do you really want a PG that dishes 3 assists a game? He's fine for the 2nd unit, and as a 6th man off of the bench. Sure, I'll concede the fact that without Kanter we need more scoring, but when Burke is on the court with Favors and Hayward, forget about it. He just ignores them on offense. He's a good 2nd unit, first option off of the bench, but a starter for the future? You have got to be kidding.

Considering how much DeMarre Carroll improved as a shooter under Snyder's coaching, I'm willing to back off and give him a chance to elevate his game.

Knock, Knock, Who's there? Seriously?

And even at that, his total FG percentage during this "hot" period has still been 40% - not nearly high enough.

Over 47% since the break. Only five games, but encouraging. He's been working hard on the floater and if he hits that with consistency it will change his life. And make him a lot more valuable.

Be patient. PG's take a while to learn the NBA game.

Jeff Teague didn't really turn the corner as a complete PG until his 4th year.

It took Kyle Lowry 5 years to cement himself as a starting guard.
