Trey Burke is the 4/1 favorite to win Rookie of the Year

Is there a way to bet that it will not happen, because if so, fans that know this team and Corbin will be rich by the end of the year.

I'd take the bet fo sho. Thats money in the bank. I bet the odds change though when we re-sign another point guard. Better get on it quick.

Hey Vermin. Go put down a hundy for me.

This was what I immediately thought of.

If Burke starts, then yes, I think he has a very good shot at winning ROY.

LET THE YOUTH MOVEMENT BEGIN!!!

Looks like bookmakers feel Burke is far and away the best candidate for rookie of the year. Granted this is not just based on player abilities, but the situation the player is in (like in Utah, where he can start and play big minutes), but when I look at this entire draft class, Burke seems as good as anyone in this draft. In just his second year he proved clearly the best player in the nation and made the finals in NCAA. If you think about it, let's say Jazz had #1 overall pick this year. Would they still draft Burke? I think the answer is likely yes.

remember when guy on nba tv said burks would be teh roy

i remember i was so excited that day i cried and made love to my wife

then big al and small ty happened and i havent made sex since

hopefully i can start again when burke starts

LOL wow

I think the odds look about right.

Especially with what went down last night. Burke is going to be playing big minutes and starting. All doubt has been erased from my mind.

This. I was totally expecting us to blow cap-space on someone like Calderon. With what little money we have left, we won't be able to pick up a PG competent enough to get lots of minutes ahead of Burke.

Don't prove me wrong, TyCo.

From what I understand when we absorbed the saleries in the Golden State trade it does not allow the Jazz to use the mid level exception on a free agent. If that is true the Jazz will only be able to afford a backup calibre point guard allowing Burke to play a lot of minutes and potentially start. I don't get the vibe Mo is coming back and I would think someone would offer him the full mid level. Other point guards like Harris and Jack would probably get a similar salary as Mo so that leaves the Jazz with 3rd tier point guards we can afford allowing Burke to have the chance to play a lot of minutes.

Yep, this↑

I'm actually stunned that this actually might be happening. We might actually see a ROY here.
