Lyles is going to be a great pick for us. He's so smooth, and fluid and makes everything look easy. There isn't tons of pressure on him to produce and I think like they quoted DL saying in the broadcast - this kid is going to be a stud by the time he's 21. As he adds strength, his dominance will improve. But there isn't much this kid can't do on the court. I cannot wait for training camp!!!

5-14.

Ugh.

Trey Burke part 2.

Love how easy it is for him to dribble the ball. Drives with ease.
Loved the pass to cooley.
Nice to see a three ball go in for him too

Dude is mobile af for 6'10". I think he'll develop nicely especially with this coaching staff. It'd be cool if he made a significant impact this season and I think he very well may.

Agree with most of the above. Even if he never turns into a prolific scorer he has shown other abilities. I want to see what Snyder & Co. can do with him.

I have faith.

We're kicking arse without our 2 best SL players.

If Exum and Hood were playing, would any of these games be within 20 pts?

Lyles looks good. I think we did just fine at 12 snagging Boris Diaw part 2

Give him a couple summers at P3 and a couple years development with our coaches and he's going to be very productive for us. Good find.

Lyles skill set at 6'10" is impressive. I'm not sure I've seen anybody at his size in SL who can put it on the floor as effectively as Lyles. His ability to dribble, stop on a dime and pull up makes that pull up jumper unstoppable - now it needs to start falling. He has to be at least top 5 in terms of passing big men in SL. Other than the fact that he isn't hitting shots, offensively for the most part he appears to have a good feel and plays older than he is.

Defensively, he simply plays young. He plays weak, seems to have a low defensive bball IQ, poor timing and even subpar effort at times. I think as he gains experience, gets stronger and understands the importance overall of defensive effort he'll be fine. He's long and moves well, so the physical side is there.

This team will ride him hard until he is doing what he needs to to. We all saw Gobert pushing Kanter into his spot during a game. Now the mindset on this team has changed. Players like Gobert, Favors, Exum and Millsap will make sure he is transitioning and hopefully instill more aggressiveness in him on D.

But as I have said before, with Gobert, Favors, Booker and soon Pleiss the Jazz can afford to take it slow with Lyles. They do not need him to come in and produce immediately. Train him hard and play him 10 minutes a game as a chance to practice what he is learning. Get him ready for the following season when Booker might be gone and he is the primary PF back up.

I am happy with the pick. We now have a 4 that can handle the ball as well.

So did the Jazz draft the tallest sf in the draft class?

I'm excited for the possibilities. Mostly because of Lyles ability to catch on the perimeter, drive into the lane causing the defense to collapse and then his ability to find open teammates. There are multiple potential lineups I want to see this fall: Lyles with Favors or Gobert, or both and Lyles with Hayward and Hood are at the top of the list.

This.
Small forward mobility in a power forward body

It was really cool how he probes off the dribble like a wing. That is rare. In fact, the challenge will actually be to get him to dribble less and just muscle for position. In that sense Kentucky kind of screwed him up. He is plenty big to post effectively against bench 4's. It was interesting that the Wolves thought him dangerous enough to double him whenever he moved to the baseline with the ball. He was generally astute enough to pass out the double team effectively. I'm not sure Enes Kanter will ever learn that.

Yes its nice. I dont like how Locke always try and make it better than what it is. He say that ones only maybe 3 % of PF can make? Im like..well it was a drive and shovel pass I think most PFS can make that pass!!! Locke has a mission to each everyone he is right on this piok and he makes HUGE deals for nothing that is so special??
